We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at The Sondes Arms in Rockingham.

Sondes is a busy, high volume food operation. Our carvery is at the heart of the business, alongside popular pizza nights, steak nights and a busy everyday food service.

We need somebody who is comfortable working at pace while keeping standards and consistency exactly where they should be. Our Sunday service consistently feeds 300+ people, all year round.

The Sondes also has an incredibly busy private hire and events schedule, where buffets, afternoon tea and bespoke dining options are common. The ideal candidate will be confident switching from our usual menu to carvery prep, large scale buffets and bespoke menus.

You will need a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a professional kitchen and be confident helping organise service, supporting the Head Chef and taking responsibility when required.

This is a full time, hourly paid role and your rate of pay will be dependent on experience.

You will at times be asked to fill in on shifts at some of our other businesses within our small group.
