Heat. Pressure. Sizzle. Smash. 🍔

But what about everything before that?

We travelled to Gloucestershire to follow the journey behind the British beef we use at Chuck & Blade.

We walked the farm, saw the cattle and met the farmers. Then we followed the journey through the abattoir and processing stages, meeting the people responsible along the way.

Because if you serve beef, we think you should be willing to understand the whole process. Not just the nice bits that make good photos.

We’ve trusted this Red Tractor assured supply chain for years. This was about getting closer to it.

The burger takes minutes to cook.

What sits behind it goes a lot further.

Something a little different for our youngest guests… 🧸📚

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be giving away Hug a Bug toys and books alongside selected kids’ meals across Chuck & Blade and Bare Bones, while stocks last.

The toys and books have been kindly donated by Hug a Bug, a charity that supports children’s emotional wellbeing through play. Their toys are designed not just to be cuddly companions, but to encourage children to talk about their feelings, build confidence and feel supported.

Some of the toys include thoughtful interactive features, such as a little pocket where children can write down a worry or fear and zip it away. It’s a simple idea, but one that can help children express their emotions and feel heard.

We’re really proud to be working with Hug a Bug and helping get these wonderful gifts into the hands of local children and families.

A huge thank you to everyone at Hug a Bug for their generosity and for the amazing work they do. ❤️
