‘Going out on a high …… ‘

Thank you for all your kind comments and messages on the amazing review in the Daily Post’s Taste Test Wales 🙏

Many of you will have heard by now that I will be closing the doors to The Old Crown on Saturday (25/4) for the very last time after a phenomenal 15 years ❤️

As with most things ‘Emma style’ this has been a very quick decision, but I know it is the right one 🙏

Lots of you will be aware that I am a big advocate of self care and I have always preserved my mental health with my strict regular Time Out Time 🙏🚐💙🐕

Over the last few months some of you will have noticed a few unplanned closures where I’ve had to cancel my day and retreat to my safe place ….. this has really taken its toll as someone who prides herself on consistency and reliability both in person and in my fantastic food 💚🌱

Up to now I have retreated, dusted myself down, been upheld and encouraged by Rob and Hendrick and gone back to it 🙏

There’s only so many times that can work without damaging my confidence and reputation ❤️

So after some very wise words from Rob …..

‘Emma, you need to look after yourself and us, you’ve been amazing for 15 years, let’s leave on a high’

So that’s it in a nutshell …… ‘going out on a high’ has been been quoted spontaneously by many kind and caring Old Crowners ❤️ and an unexpected and timely review in the press has confirmed this 🙏

I will miss cafeland so much, so many of you have become such lovely friends, the love, the laughs and entertainment have been documentary/book/comedy worthy 🤣

Thank you all both human ❤️ and most importantly canine 🐾 for all The Old Crown could possibly be 💚🌱

Time to reset and restore
