🏉❤️ WHAT A DAY FOR LOCAL SPORT! ❤️🏉

We’ve had an absolutely brilliant day today and wanted to give a huge thank you to Steve & Pauline from Firewood Supplies Ltd for inviting us along to Camborne RFC.

What a game as well — Camborne taking a fantastic 38–26 win! 👏🔥

Then, as if that wasn’t enough, we heard the news that ILLOGAN PARK RFC had put in a massive performance away to Falmouth 2nds, coming home with an incredible 71–19 victory! 🖤💛

Days like today are a great reminder of just how strong local sport is around here — brilliant clubs, brilliant people and plenty of community spirit.

A huge thanks again to Steve & Pauline for looking after us today — we had a fantastic time and really appreciate the invitation. 🍻

And now… we’re back at The Inn and ready to finish the day properly!

One of the things we’re really proud of here at The New Inn is giving live, local music a proper place to be heard and tonight we’re welcoming a brand-new band to the pub…

They’re a relatively young band on the local circuit, building their sound, their following and their reputation… and we’re really excited to give them a shot here at The Inn.

Today, we remember Paps. ❤️

Today, The New Inn has the privilege of hosting a Celebration of Life for Mike “Paps” Millington, a very special man who meant so much to so many within our community.

Paps was a much-loved character within the village, with strong ties to The New Inn, Illogan Park RFC and many other local organisations. His contribution to our community, the friendships he made and the memories he leaves behind will not be forgotten.

The pub will remain open as usual today; however, our kitchen will be closed for the day as we welcome Paps’ family, friends and all those who knew him to come together, share memories and raise a glass in his honour.

We thank our customers for their understanding.

Most importantly, all of us here at The New Inn are thinking of Carol and the entire family on what will undoubtedly be an incredibly difficult day.

It is an honour to be able to welcome everyone here today and play a small part in giving Paps the send-off he deserves.

Rest easy, Paps. 🍺❤️
