For International Dawn Chorus Day on May 3, we're inviting you to join the Dawn Chorus Club.

All you have to do is get up early, listen to the birds, and share your experience using . Oh, and get the group chat involved, too.

The dawn chorus is when birds sing full pelt in the early morning, establishing territories and attracting mates, and it peaks in spring.

It also happens practically everywhere, so you can even just crack open a window and listen from your bed. We've got events on reserves as well.

So mark your calendar, check your local dawn time, and set your alarms. You won't want to miss this.

Our next Redruth Park Walk is this Saturday, 2 May 🌼

We'll be heading out to Tricky's at the Tolgus Inn to see Ritzy Belles

Starting at the bandstand in Victoria Park at 12.30. We'll head up through Redruth & then take a footpath out to Tricky's. It's a lovely walk, town & countryside. Approx. 3 1/2 miles in total. Hopefully the sun will still be shining ☀️ All welcome, just turn up.

📣 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞: 𝟐,𝟓𝟎𝟎 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠

In just a short space of time, our petition against Cornwall Council’s proposed use of glyphosate across towns and parishes has now reached over 2,500 signatures.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the petition so far. We’ve now reached the halfway point towards the 𝟓,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 required for this to be considered at a Full Council meeting.

Please keep the momentum going by signing and sharing the petition, and supporting the call for safer, more sustainable alternatives in our local areas.

We can't wait for Saturday, Record Store Day Lucky's Record Bar & then continue the celebration of vinyl with a great DJ line up The Oxford
Saturday is sorted 🎧

Dancers, Romancers, People of the Night,

It’s Record Store Day 2026. April 18th.

We will open at 9am. There will be a queue. As always we will be operating a one in one out type of system to make sure people get what they are looking for. We will bring coffee and biscuits out to you in the queue. It’s a lovely atmosphere, lifelong friendships are formed over a Public Service Broadcasting LP, couples fall in love discussing a John Coltrane Live album. Last year there was a marriage proposal in the queue.* a man on bended knee whilst everyone around cheered. We will have Record Store Day tote bags and T shirts to give to those near the front of the queue and also there is talk of a delivery of Record Store Beer from Jubel, if anyone fancies a beer early doors before spending the day in The Oxford next door (see later). Record Store Day is one of those days when you are allowed to drink beer at 9am, like being at an airport, although it’s even better because you don’t have to go on holiday and pretend to have a good time. No one actually likes holidays. That’s why you are always glad to get home.

We have a huge selection of RSD releases, but if you are travelling a distance drop us a message and we will confirm if that record is in stock. Usual rules first come first served.

At 2pm we will have music in The Oxford. The line up is looking fantastic, there is genuinely something for everyone. Anyone who has been to our RSD events will tell you, it’s a lovely celebratory atmosphere, fuelled by dancing and booze drinks. If it’s sunny we will be outside. Full DJ line up coming this week. I will also start posting some of the records we have in the shop for RSD.

We are back with Lucky's Record Bar bringing Redruth Record Club to The Buttermarket Redruth on Saturday 21 March
6 pm to 10 pm 🥂🎧

Redruth Record Club is a free event where it's your chance to be a DJ. Bring along three records on the theme of 'Seasons'. Put your name on the board to play your tracks.
