Another one flies the Mad Duck nest 😢

Our amazing Tommy has got himself an apprenticeship in plumbing and heating. This is bittersweet for us as Tommy was just such an asset to the café. Along with making a great cuppa he was also great at doing the ‘man’ jobs. If it broke Tommy fixed it, if it needed work with a hammer Tommy hammered it, if it was heavy Tommy lifted it.
This lad was also a real hit with the older ladies, he had a great rapport with them and they just loved him. Believe me he also caught the eye of the younger gen too, but hey, he is a good looking lad 🤷‍♀️
Tommy came to us as a young lad and we were so lucky to see him transition into the young confident man that is leaving.
With his determination and drive to succeed in life, it goes without saying we’ll be seeing Tommy in his own sign written van and running his own company in the feature.

Tommy thank you for everything, we miss you’re hard work and humour already 😢❤️❤️

We always enjoy a visit from our Gangsta Grannies, they’re proof whatever your age you can still have fun, enjoy life and laugh a lot.
We were a few ‘Gangstas’ down today but these two still gave us a good laugh, they’re bloody amazing!
There’s a story behind them gaining the name ‘Gansta Grannies’ which involves mischievous behaviour with one of our signs and getting caught on camera

A good old rainy day is a good day to come and cosy up on our sofa with a generous slice of cake, a cuppa and a good book.
If you nod off (and many have done so) we just throw a blanket over you and leave you be ☺️

This evenings walk was a lovely way to wind down from a busy day. Such beautiful views from Sulham woods looking across Pangbourne and Mapledurham. With the moon making an appearance on the way back

❤️❤️ A Very Proud Moment ❤️❤️

We’d like to congratulate these two amazing girls, Lizzy and Vee, on their high scoring exam results. Unlucky for us it means they leave The Mad Duck Crew in September 😔booooooo!!! ….. but on the flip side, we’re so happy for them as they get to experience the next chapter of their lives at Uni 😃yaaaay!!

Thank you Lizzy and Vee for all the hard work and dedication you’ve shown and given to The Mad Duck, we really will miss you both 😢

HAS ANYONE LOST AN IPAD?

FOUND IN PURLEY

My son found one this morning complete with a cover near the railway bridge. Looking at the cover it looks as though it belongs to a youngster as it’s a child’s chunky ‘bounce proof’ cover not adult.
It’s locked so the owner will obviously know the code.
