Brunch standards are high being from Australia but this totally matched my expectations. Delicious, wholesome and beautifully presented. I can see why my bro and sis in law return again and again! Thank you :)”

A quick update on The Greyhound Pub

It’s all systems go at the old Greyhound (79 High Street), and it’s exciting to see the next stage of the renovations taking shape!

We’ve loved reading all the positive comments on our recent social media posts. A huge thank you to everyone who has taken the time to share their support, ideas and suggestions. We really do appreciate your enthusiasm for the project.

One of the latest milestones has been the installation of the new roof, complete with beautiful handmade peg tiles that are perfectly in keeping with the character of the building.

There’s plenty more happening behind the scenes, and we can’t wait to share more with you as the transformation continues.

We’re pleased to be hosting a Community Police Bike Marking event on Sunday from 10am–12 noon.

This is a fantastic free service and, with children now back at school, it’s a great opportunity to get their bikes security marked too, particularly if they’re cycling to and from school.

Get your dancing shoes ready! Rave on the Rec is taking place this Friday, the 18th of September at Wargrave Cricket Club, from 7pm–11pm, and we’re very proud to be promoting this.

As well as promising to be a fantastic night, the event is raising money for Weldmar Hospice Care, a cause with a very special local connection.

Oli (aka Dr Beats), a local doctor, Wargrave resident and H’ARTISAN customer, spent five weeks at the hospice with his father before he sadly passed away just before Christmas. Oli and his family experienced first-hand the incredible care and support the hospice provides.

The aim is to raise £16,800, approximately the cost of providing the care Oli’s father received, so that another family can be given that same support when they need it most.

Book your tickets NOW, and support what promises to be a night to remember! Don’t look back in anger, to miss this would be a tragedy, come join the common people and remember, groove is in the heart (see what we did there!). Loving the 90’s!

“Loved this cafe in Wargrave that served excellent coffee for us Aussies! We do love a good coffee, and theirs was excellent. Brunch, snacks, and lovely owners who make you feel like a local. Great to be able to have a coffee and breakfast before making our way to Henley Regatta each day.”
