🇹🇭 A New Chapter for Thai on the Tyne ❤️

We finally have some very special news to share…

Thai on the Tyne is getting a home of its own! 🥹❤️

Very soon, we will be opening Thai on the Tyne – Thai Café in North Shields, in the former home of the much-loved Pigalo Speakeasy.

Pigalo has been a well-known local business and a place that holds many happy memories for its customers. As their chapter at this location comes to an end, a new one begins for us. We would like to sincerely thank the Pigalo team for their kindness and support, and we wish them all the very best. ❤️

But most importantly, we want to say something to our Thai on the Tyne customers…

We wouldn’t be here without you.

Every order, every recommendation, every lovely review and every customer who came back again and again helped us reach this moment.

What started as a small business cooking the Thai food we love is now becoming something we have dreamed about for a long time…

We finally have a place to call home. 🇹🇭❤️

The location may be new, but the heart of Thai on the Tyne will remain the same — the flavours you know, the dishes you love and the same care that goes into every meal.

Only now, you can finally come in, sit down, relax and let us serve you. ❤️

We will be offering dine-in, takeaway, local delivery, cocktails and drinks, alongside the authentic Thai food you already know and love.

And to the former customers of Pigalo and everyone in North Shields and the surrounding areas — we hope you’ll come through our doors and give us a try too.

We know this is a big step. We can’t promise everything will be perfect from day one, but we can promise that we will put our hearts into it and give it everything we have.

To all our valued Thai on the Tyne customers ❤️

We would like to say a huge thank you for the incredible support you have shown us. The response has been far greater than we ever expected, and we are truly grateful for every order, recommendation and kind message.

As the number of orders and customers has continued to grow, it is no longer possible for us to operate efficiently from home. The increased activity has also affected our neighbours, so we feel that now is the right time to move forward and take the next step.

The good news is that we have secured a new premises! 🎉
Our new Thai Café will offer both dine-in and takeaway, allowing us to serve you in a more professional, comfortable and reliable way.

We are very sorry to everyone whose orders we had to decline over the past weekend. We know this was disappointing, and it was very difficult for us to turn away so many loyal customers.

We are currently completing the lease and preparing the new premises. As soon as everything is ready, we will share the opening date and more details.

Thank you for supporting our journey and helping Thai on the Tyne grow beyond our expectations. Please bear with us a little longer—we cannot wait to welcome you to our new Thai Café very soon! 🇹🇭❤️

We’re truly grateful for every single customer who continues to support our small business. Your kindness, loyalty, and every order mean more to us than words can say.

Today was another incredibly busy day, and we were completely overwhelmed with orders. Unfortunately, we had to stop taking new orders, and we’re so sorry to everyone we couldn’t serve today.

Thank you for your patience, your understanding, and for choosing us. Seeing how busy we’ve been is something we never take for granted, and it’s all because of your amazing support.
