Tonight’s the night. England kick off their World Cup campaign in Dallas, Texas - and if history has taught us anything, it’s that we’re probably about 90 minutes away from either unbridled national euphoria or the specific kind of heartbreak that only football can deliver. We wouldn’t have it any other way.

So we’re marking the occasion properly. This Friday, we’re dedicating the Friday Series to Dallas - trading Lancashire lanes for the Lone Star State and bringing bold flavours, proper spice and serious heat to The Cartford for a good old Tex-Mex night. 🤠

As for the England boys - here’s hoping they bring a little of that fire and flair to the pitch tonight.

Right folks - we’ve kept you waiting this week, but we think you’ll forgive us.

This Friday (tomorrow), the main man himself Patrick Beaumé takes the pass - and that can only mean one thing: vive la France! On the specials list: proper steak frites, and the first Cornish spider crabs of the season - dressed à la Caesar, served in the shell (pictured above).

As ever, our à la carte - freshly redesigned, no less - runs alongside.
