In the dim glow of the evening under the Victorian Canopy, a curious creature emerges from the shadows, notice the deliberate movements, calm, measured, almost impossibly confident. To the untrained eye, he appears to be an ordinary idiot. But watch closely.

His attention is fixed not on the conversation, nor the drinks ( it's 3am we are closed ) but on the lights themselves. With remarkable precision, he studies his surroundings before quietly liberating our outdoor festoon lighting . There is no rush, no panic, only the quiet assurance of a species that has perfected its peculiar survival strategy.

If you see this species wrapped in our festoon lights , don't be afraid. Christmas hasn't come early . He's just a fu***ng k**b who's nicked our lights.

David Attenborough would be ashamed. We are just mightily pi**ed off and confused.
