We are absolutely delighted to have been named Best Loved Pub in Cornwall by Muddy Stilettos.
To win this award in less than two months of being open is something we're incredibly proud of, but this award belongs to far more people than just us.
Firstly, a massive thank you to our team, who work day in, day out to deliver world-class food, drink and service from our little village pub in a secluded corner of the Roseland. The hard work, commitment and passion they bring every day is what makes this place special.
To our local community, thank you. Whether you've voted for us, eaten and drank with us, liked and shared our posts, recommended us to friends and family, or simply cheered us on from the sidelines, your support has been incredible.
There are also some truly remarkable people who have gone above and beyond. We have individuals who have dedicated what amounts to a full working week of their own time helping us get our B&B rooms ready to open — painting, decorating, stripping carpets and lending a hand wherever needed, completely free of charge. The generosity we've experienced has been overwhelming.
A huge thank you to the committee, both old and new, for giving us the opportunity to take on this pub and continue building something special here.
We're also incredibly grateful to local suppliers such as Chaos Farm and Camel Fish, who provide us with some of the freshest, highest-quality local produce we could hope for. Being able to showcase the very best of Cornwall is at the heart of what we do.
This award means the world to us, but we're only just getting started. We're not even operating at full capacity yet. There are plenty more exciting announcements to come, including breakfast and brunch, while our events calendar is filling up at a rapid pace.
To win an award like this less than two months after opening is a huge achievement, but it's only the first of many. Watch this space.
