Join the Banco Blanco Team – Pontefract

Be part of something from the very beginning.

Banco Blanco is an exciting new independent café opening in Pontefract, and we’re looking for a passionate, driven Chef to join us and help shape our kitchen from day one. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to put their own stamp on a brand-new business, with the freedom to be creative and help develop our food offering.

Our café will serve breakfast, brunch and lunch, focusing on fresh, high-quality food in a welcoming and relaxed environment. We’re looking for someone who shares our passion for great food, excellent customer service and building something special.

Hours

37.5 hours per week
Full-time, permanent position
Weekend availability required

Your key responsibilities will include:

Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our customers
Overseeing the day-to-day running of the kitchen
Designing and implementing menu changes
Having creative input into our breakfast, brunch and lunch menus
Managing food ordering, stock control and supplier relationships
Identifying opportunities to improve our food offering
Listening to customer feedback and continually improving our food service
Creating seasonal specials and new food concepts
Monitoring stock levels to keep the kitchen organised and well-stocked
Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food hygiene
Ensuring compliance with all Food Hygiene, Food Handling and Health & Safety regulations

Our ideal candidate will:

Be passionate about producing exceptional food
Have experience in a similar chef role
Have experience supervising or leading a team
Be creative and enthusiastic about developing new menu ideas
Hold a Food Hygiene Certificate
Have a flexible, hands-on approach to work
Take pride in delivering an outstanding customer experience
