Our original historic fireplace is such a beautiful part of the building, and being Grade II listed, it’s so important that we decorate the space in a way that preserves its history and original character while bringing it back to life.

We want to honour the history of this beautiful building while giving it a new chapter as Banco Blanco. ✨☕️

Looking back at these photos, it’s easy to see why it’s taken us so long to get open! 😂

This is how the building looked when I first found it, and there’s been a LOT of work, stress and setbacks along the way.

If you’ve ever worked on a listed building, you’ll understand when I say that everything is an ordeal! 😅

But good things come to those who wait, and we’re now hopefully just weeks away from opening our doors in November. 🤞

We’re so excited to finally show you what we’ve been working towards. All will be revealed very shortly… 👀

Honestly, I don’t really know what to say other than thank you.

The amount of support I’ve had already is honestly crazy, especially considering we haven’t even opened yet. Every like, share, comment and message doesn’t go unnoticed, and it genuinely means so much.

There’s been plenty of good days, but there’s also been some really bad ones. Days where I’ve questioned everything and wondered if I’ve actually made the right decision. Then I see the support I’ve been getting and it makes all those bad days worth it.

To think I’m just a 20 year old who decided to take a chance and go for it… and now 1,000 people are following along with something that started as an idea in my head. It’s honestly a bit mad.

I’ve still got a lot to do before I open, but knowing so many of you are excited for it makes it all so much more worthwhile.

So genuinely, thank you for believing in me before I’ve even opened my doors. I can’t wait for you all to finally see what we’ve been working on. 🤍

I’ve had so many messages from people who recognise the building and remember it as the old Barclays branch — and it’s honestly been lovely hearing all the memories. 💙

What is now my little cafe was once someone’s workplace, and I’ve even had people message saying, “That was my old office!” It really makes you realise just how many people have a connection to this building and how much history sits within these walls.

Someone recently mentioned the idea of doing a little gathering or reunion for former Barclays employees, and I actually think it could be such a lovely idea. ☕️

So, if you used to work here, I’d love to hear from you! Would a little reunion/get-together be something you’d be interested in? It would be so nice to bring some of the people who were once part of this building back together — this time for a coffee rather than a bank appointment! 😂💙
