Before anything else, we couldn’t not mention the incredibly sad news about Dolly Parton. A true country music legend, an inspiration to generations and someone whose influence has absolutely shaped the music we love here at Farmer Copleys. What a legacy she leaves behind🤍

Now onto what we’ve got coming up…

🎤 Thursday 3rd September – Listening Loft with Matt Hodges & Becky Tate
An intimate evening of British country music in The Hayloft with two artists you may have already seen at FarmTrax.

🎃 Saturday 26th September – Bootleggers
Kicking off Pumpkin Festival with a proper Nashville-style party to remember.

🎶 Friday 2nd October – The Muldoon Brothers
A brilliant hillbilly-style night in the Pumpkin Festival marquee. The full festival won’t be running that evening, but there’ll still be food, a bar and plenty of twilight atmosphere.

🍓FREE ENTRY Pick ’Em Clean tomorrow!🍓

We’re opening up the Strawberry Experience for another Pick ’Em Clean day this Monday 24th August, with FREE entry, you’ll simply pay for what you pick. Open from 9:30am, last entry 3:45pm.

There are still strawberries available in the open tunnels. As always, availability depends on what’s ripe on the day, so when it’s gone, it’s gone. We’ll keep you updated if we need to close picking early.

It’s a lovely chance to come down, enjoy the farm and stock up on some fresh fruit while you still can🍓

🎃 5 WEEKS TO GO! 🎃

Just five weeks until Pumpkin Festival 2026 begins… and until the fields look like this again🧡

These photos are from last year, but the countdown is well and truly on for another autumn filled with pumpkins, photo opportunities, food, rides, live entertainment and plenty of family fun.

We’ve planted over 300,000 pumpkins across more than 40 varieties, including classic orange, white, green and striped pumpkins.

We can definitely tell summer is starting to wind down with all this rain… although the pumpkins are loving it! 🎃 There’s still loads going on at the farm this weekend though:

🍓 STRAWBERRIES & SUNFLOWERS
Both experiences are open and tickets are available online now. We’re getting towards the end of the season, so if you’ve been meaning to come, don’t leave it too long!

🧼 MOSS BY WILD POP-UP – SATURDAY, 10AM–3PM
They’ll be outside the Farm Shop with their full range for you to browse. It’s the gorgeous soap we use in our Farm Shop and café toilets, as well as in our B&B. To make it even better, her partner will be there playing some country music too🤠🎶

🍗 BUTCHERY SPECIALS
The butchers have their usual stuffed porchetta, plus a new spicy version with chilli and nduja added to the sage & onion stuffing. They’ve also got some incredible 35-day dry-aged cowboy steaks that look absolutely insane🥩🔥

🫐 3 PACKS OF BERRIES FOR £7.99
Mix and match from strawberries, raspberries, blueberries or grapes.

☕ NEW IN THE FARM SHOP

🍦 New nostalgic gelato flavour alert! ❤️

Say hello to our Sticky Cornflake & Raspberry Pudding Gelato, inspired by a proper old-school favourite.

We’ve taken creamy custard gelato, added hidden raspberry-soaked ladyfingers, a raspberry ripple layer, freeze dried raspberries, then topped it all off with crunchy cornflakes mixed with our very own Yorkshire honey, made by the bees right here on the farm🍯🐝

Sweet, creamy, fruity, crunchy… and very nostalgic.

Come and grab a scoop from Copleys Kitchen this weekend or take a tub home for later👀

🍓🌻 Strawberry & Sunflower tickets are available! 🌻🍓

Our Strawberry Experience is back open today, and we’ll also be open Saturday and Sunday for anyone wanting to come and pick some strawberries before the season comes to an end.

We’re getting towards the end of strawberry season now, so make sure you don’t miss your chance to visit while you still can🍓

🌻 Our Sunflower Field is still open too, so why not do both in one go and make a full day of it on the farm?

🎶 Our next Listening Loft is coming up! 🤎

We’re welcoming Matt Hodges & Becky Tate to The Hayloft on Thursday 3rd September for another intimate evening of live country music.

You may have seen both of these incredibly talented artists at FarmTrax, where they each put on brilliant performances and we can’t wait to hear them again in a much more up-close setting.

🎤 Wakefield’s own Matt Hodges has an absolutely incredible voice and always knows how to hold a room.

🎸 Becky Tate is a hugely talented country singer and guitarist, known for her amazing vocals and engaging live performances.

Expect acoustic sets, plenty of personality and a chance to properly sit back and enjoy the music.
