Thanks to everyone who voted love to you all we are through to the next round πππ
π Group O is done, counted and checked, and this one produced a very clear winner.
After working through 452 comments, allowing for the usual spelling variations and removing duplicate votes so that everyone gets one vote and one vote only, The Post Office Inn has taken Group O with 188 valid votes and becomes the fifteenth pub through to the Last 16 of Plymouthβs Favourite Pub 2026!
The final result:
π₯ The Post Office Inn β 188 votes
π₯ The Blockhouse β 122 votes
π₯ The VOT β 106 votes
β« The Fawn β 6 votes
That gives The Post Office Inn a winning margin of 66 votes, with The Blockhouse taking a comfortable second place and The VOT finishing third.
As always, obvious spelling variations were included and duplicate votes removed. Whether you wrote Post Office Inn, Postie, Blockhouse, The Block House, VOT, V.O.T or one of the other interpretations that appeared along the way, I worked out what you meant.
What still doesnβt work is voting more than once. I admire the optimism, but TrueParse has a very good memory.
Group O in numbers: 452 comments Β· 20 shares Β· 22,726 views Β· 422 valid votes
And thereβs a rather lovely milestone hidden in those numbers.
After 15 voting groups, Plymouthβs Favourite Pub 2026 has now generated a combined 506,505 views.
Half a million views.
Before Round One has even finished.
That is an absolutely ridiculous amount of attention being put on Plymouthβs pubs, clubs and independent venues, and that remains the whole reason I wanted to do this again.
People are talking about pubs they love, discovering places they havenβt tried, defending their locals with alarming levels of enthusiasm and, hopefully, being reminded that these places survive because people actually walk through the door and use them.
The results are processed using TrueParse, the software I built for last yearβs competition, with the final count also checked separately before a winner is confirmed.
A massive well done to all four venues and everyone who voted, shared the post, tagged their mates and got involved.
The Post Office Inn is through to the Last 16!
They join The Three Ferrets, The Millbridge Inn, The Kings Head, The Brook Inn, The Hyde Park, The Dolphin, The Lounge, The Ford Inn, The Seven Stars Inn, The Tradesmanβs, The Weston Mill, Keyham Vaults, The Minerva Inn and The Eagle in the knockout stages.
And now there is one group left. Group P goes live Sunday at 8pm, then Round One is finished.
Plymouthβs Favourite Pub 2026 is supported by our exclusive hospitality partner, The Edgcumbe Arms.
Sitting just across the water at Cremyll, itβs one of those pubs where getting there is part of the experience. A short ferry ride from Plymouth and suddenly youβre on the other side of the Tamar, pint in hand, looking straight back across the water youβve just crossed.
But the setting would mean very little if the pub itself didnβt deliver.
The Edgcumbe has proper pub food, a fantastic waterside location and the sort of atmosphere that makes going over for lunch dangerously capable of becoming an entire afternoon.
If you havenβt made the little trip across on the Cremyll Ferry for a while, stick it on the list. The Edgcumbe Arms is close enough to Plymouth to make an easy afternoon of it while still feeling like youβve actually gone somewhere.
A huge thank you to The Edgcumbe Arms for supporting Plymouthβs Favourite Pub 2026.
