💥UPDATE ON THE CAFE /COMMUNITY CENTRE💥
I'm sure by now most of u are aware of the situation with the cafe and community centre closure .
This took place in February where the council came in one day and closed it all down with no prior warning saying it was due to fire saftey issues . That was it no other explanation, no report , no time frame nothing . This resulted in myself having to set up a temporary trailer to be able to keep the business afloat and many people who used the cafe and the centre with no where to go.
Every update that the council promised has been delayed or dismissed. myself, councillor sue dann and councillor bryan driver were promised that we would have all the answers when it went to the board on 29th july, well guess what yet again no answers and let's bare in mind that the council set their own time frames but clearly aren't capable of meeting them , and these are the people that make the decisions for the city (they couldn't organise a p@ up in a brewery)
I am now at the point where I'm lost for words . This council have lied, have been totally and utterly incompetent at their jobs, have disregarded the community and it's residents, they have almost destroyed my business while all the time having not a care in the world of how many people this has impacted on , I should imagine this is because they are always on leave or out of the office . Perhaps if they were paid by the hours they actually worked the council wouldn't be in such dire states and would be able to maintain their buildings, (just a thought 🤔)
The BIG QUESTION FOR ME is what are the council HIDING . Do they have plans that they don't want us to know about or is it just as simple as pure incompetence??????????
I will continue to fight and I won't stop until someone is held accountable for the absolutely devastating impact this had had .
Anyway we are still in the trailer for the time being and will be there until the end of the summer ☀️.
Then who knows what's going to happen.
