From 2 November until 3 March, The Roundhouse Inn will be closed on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Winter trading in the area is naturally much quieter at the beginning of the week and, after reviewing last year’s trading, we have decided that opening fewer days is the most sensible and sustainable approach.
Last winter, we experimented with remaining open on quieter weekdays with a reduced menu in an effort to control costs and minimise food waste. However, this sometimes caused confusion and disappointment for customers who understandably arrived expecting our usual offering.
This year, we are taking a simpler approach: fewer opening days, but our regular menu and usual service when we are open.
We hope this strikes the right balance between providing a reliable year-round venue for the local community and visitors, while also ensuring that we operate sustainably.
We know that The Roundy has become more than just somewhere to have a drink. We are proud to be a place for meals, meet-ups, celebrations and events, and we remain committed to continuing that throughout the year.
Making sensible seasonal adjustments will hopefully help us keep our prices the lowest in the area, maintain the quality and choice of our regular menu, and help us continue investing in events and entertainment.
We hope these changes cause as little inconvenience as possible and, as always, we greatly appreciate your understanding and continued support.
