The restaurant itself is a former henhouse and is located on the outskirts of the village of Bridge of Earn. With only a 30 cover dining room, a very relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere with professional and attentive service is brought to both lunch and dinner services. The restaurant s

After 15 years we have decided to close the restaurant for good and move our lives in a different direction. We will remain open until Sunday 6th November. We would like to thank all our customers for their support throughout the years as well as our staff, past and present.
All valid gift vouchers will be honoured until our closure on November 6th. Thereafter any unredeemed gift vouchers will be refunded in full.

The Roost restaurant is on the look out for talented, enthusiastic restaurant supervisor to join the team.
Prior experience working and supervising a team in a fast paced hospitality setting is preferred, but full training will also be given for the job role.
Availability to work evenings and weekends is an absolute must, full time and part time roles available, with salaried positions an option for the right candidate.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Job Hours: 20-30 hrs per week

Salary: A good rate of pay will be offered, but the salary will vary depending on previous experience.
£20,000 - £24,000 Pro rata PA

Additional pay: Gratuities will be paid out on a monthly basis

Experience:

Restaurant: 2 years (preferred)
Supervising: 1 year (preferred)

Our grill menu is also available in addition to our Al a carte. Delicious cuts of locally sourced beef from our supplier Yorke's of Dundee as well as fish fresh from the market cooked in our wood fired indoor charcoal grill oven. 👌😋

SERVING UP 400 TARTS FIT FOR A QUEEN

Scottish food supplier Scotty Brand and Tim Dover of The Roost restaurant have celebrated the start of the strawberry season and the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee by teaming up to create a very special tasty tribute.
Scotty Brand teamed up with Perthshire chef and restaurateur Tim Dover to make 400 mouth-watering strawberry tarts which were assembled into a giant 70 in honour of the 70-year anniversary of the Queen’s reign.
The giant 70 was created in a field at Bruce Farms near Meigle in Perthshire, a family run farm which provides all the sweet and juicy strawberries and raspberries for Scotty Brand. The individual pastries were then donated to three care homes in Meigle, Coupar Angus and Blairgowrie as a contribution to the Jubilee celebrations being held for residents. Scotty Brand is proud to mark the 70th anniversary of the Queen’s reign and to be helping local care homes celebrate the Platinum Jubilee in style through our collaboration with local chef Tim Dover, who’s created 400 of the most delicious-looking tarts with our berries, which are grown by the team at Bruce Farms.
Chef Tim Dover, who runs The Roost restaurant in Bridge of Earn with his wife, Anna, said: “It’s a real honour to work with Scotty Brand and Bruce Farms to create this magnificent strawberry tart creation to celebrate the start of the season and the Queen’s Jubilee. These really are some of the sweetest and most delicious strawberries I’ve ever tasted and it’s lovely to think how many elderly residents in the local community were able to enjoy them.
