It is with considerable sadness and a very heavy heart that I announce the closure of Sugar Plum Tearooms. My last trading day was Saturday 20th December 2025.
I am absolutely devastated and heartbroken.
There were many factors that made me have to close the Tearooms including the cost of living, huge rises in the cost of food & consumables and the impact of government policies. Yes, we were busy at certain times of the day and especially on Saturdays but it was not enough to cover increasing monthly bills.
I put my heart and soul into making Sugar Plum Tearoom's a success but there comes a point where you need to stand back and realise that it is no longer possible or viable to continue trading. My staff were unfortunately made redundant; it was awful timing but I had absolutely no choice.
I had some truly lovely customers and I’d like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all your custom and for supporting my small family business over the last 3.5 years. I will miss you all.
It is UNTRUE that I have sold the business! I did however have someone express an interest in taking over but that was as far as it went.
Regarding vouchers: Unfortunately, some were sold before I was advised to close. I sincerely apologise for this. Suzanne from Chamberlains Coffee House in Malvern has kindly offered to honour all vouchers. Please message her on 07957 111285 to book or contact them on Facebook.
