As some of you will already know, there has been the devastating news of a house fire in Pershore. A family, including children, have sadly lost their belongings in this tragedy.

I’m going to be putting some things together to donate to the family and hopefully help them replace some of what they have lost.

If anyone has anything they feel may be useful and would like to donate, please feel free to bring it along to the pub. Nothing is too big or too small in circumstances like these, and any donation will be greatly appreciated.

Hopefully, as a community, we can come together and help this family during such an incredibly difficult time. ❤️

It’s come to my attention that someone reported our outdoor karaoke night.

It’s honestly sad that some people would rather spend their time trying to stop others enjoying themselves than simply let the village have a good night. The event was held completely within the permitted time limits, so there was nothing inappropriate about it.

What’s even more disappointing is that incorrect information appears to have been passed on, suggesting that I regularly hold loud outdoor music events. Anyone who actually comes along to support our village pub knows that simply isn’t true. Karaoke nights and events like these are occasional community gatherings that bring people together.

I’d kindly ask that, if anyone feels the need to make a report, they ensure the information they provide is accurate. Passing on incorrect information has the potential to waste officials’ valuable time and resources.

If our events aren’t for you, that’s absolutely fine—no one is forced to come. But please don’t try to spoil them for the many people who genuinely enjoy them and appreciate having something fun happening in the village.

It would be nice if people put as much energy into supporting the community as they do complaining about it. You never know—you might even enjoy yourself if you gave it a chance.

This was our fantastic evening which everyone throughly enjoyed 😀
