It's our last day in Lighthouse. I am overwhelmed with the good wishes and love I am receiving from you guys. Thank you.
Lighthouse (and Kids Creations before) was an exceptional part of my life and, most importantly, of how my motherhood evolved. I still remember vividly conversations that impacted me forever, which made me realise how to be a better person and a better parent. I loved coming to work in the morning and meeting the team and customers. There was never a single person who wasn't welcome in Lighthouse, I hope it felt that way.
Everyone has a story, happy moments, and struggles. There is no point judging until you really know what the next person is going through. When we become mothers, we lose our old selves. Sometimes, our confidence is lower, and sometimes, our fears become bigger. We are like a mush of old and new, and nowhere in between. But just like a caterpillar becomes a gloop before transforming into a butterfly π¦, we eventually emerge from the mush and recognise our beautiful again. Every phase of our life is just a phase, with the next one waiting around the corner. So if you're ever unsure, just remember that mush doesn't last forever. There are wings to be grown out of every experience.
Lighthouse helped me go through my mush, but it is time to move on. I am going to a job that will allow me to focus on the most important person in my life. And even that I have YOU, my customers, to thank for. I can't wait! The decision to leave was hard, but once made, it allowed me to plan for the future. I am focusing on positives, and I know everything will be OK. You will be OK π¦
Thank you for all your support!
Please, if you're coming today, don't expect your favourite food... the menu will be hugely limited to what's left in the fridges㪠Oh, and also I will be closing at 14.00 today!
