A thank you from The Fingerpost Management

We’d like to say thank you to the gentlemen who came back in and settled their bill.

We always believe in giving people the chance to do the right thing, and on this occasion they did, so credit where it’s due.

To the gentlemen involved — your next beer is on me. Just mention it at the bar.

That being said, we want to make it very clear going forward: anyone who leaves without paying will be posted publicly.

We work hard, our staff work hard, and walking out without paying is not acceptable.

Hopefully this gives Birmingham Live something to post about on a slow news day. 😀

Thank you again to the gentlemen for coming back in and sorting it properly.

A Midland pub issued an unusual "don't visit us" message amid a backlash to an alleged 'dine and dash' incident.

The Fingerpost at Pelsall in Walsall gave a customer it said left without paying a deadline to settle up - and inferred his picture would be posted on social media if he did not.

The man was given until Friday, June 19, to do what the pub said was the "right thing".
