This beautiful Queen will be laid to rest on Thursday 13th April at 9:30am in St Joseph's Chapel, Clarkston then onto St Convals Cemetery to be with Dad again then up to the Redhurst Hotel to celebrate her life.

I want nothing more than the Chapel to be full of friends, family, people that have met her for 10 mins and even if you haven't met her and would like to come and give me some support (I will definitely need it) then I would love if you could make it.

I never wanted this day to come, my heart is broken

Hi all you amazing Malatsotrons!!!

I am so sorry that it has taken so long to come back onto the page to give you all an update but I'm not going to lie physically and mentally times have been really tough. I caught covid on the Saturday but unfortunately we were too short staffed to open after that, I was very poorly for about 6 weeks but getting covid had a massive knock on affect for a couple of other long term illness I have so I was floored for months and I'm still not great. All of this had a huge affect on my mental health which was in a terrible place but with medication I started to feel a bit of a change but in the last couple of months my Mums health has deteriorated so much that she is now on palliative care and I am staying by her side 24/7 so with all that my health is not too great again.

I really wanted to keep going because most of you know that Malatso is my baby and for 12 years I had put everything I had into it, I always thought I would be a wee old lady still working there and telling all the new young customers "well back when I opened in 2010" but it wasn't to be, I now don't have the strength to open the shutters let alone anything else which makes me incredibly sad.

I just want to take this time, and for the last time, to thank each and every one of you for your continued support over the last 12 years I have so so many happy memories with so many wonderful people that I will cherish forever, the biggest thing I miss and its a terrible miss is all of my regular customers who I now class as friends and family you will hold a special place in my heart and that goes for all the four legged customers too. I miss you all so much and hopefully we can all meet for coffee one day for a big catch up.

There is plans for the cafe so don't worry I predict by the end of the year she will be open again and you can all enjoy her again she will just have another name and hopefully it will be some other amazing person who has it and still wants to be part of such an amazing community.

Thank you, thank you thank you, I miss you all you made going to work everyday so special and fun.

I am away to get a tissue now (I know this would be an emotional post to do)

💢 WE ARE RECRUITING 💢

I am looking to hire 2 part time staff members, if you have barista and or food experience that would be good however full training would be given, what I am looking for is someone who is:

💢 Well spoken and polite

💢 Calm under pressure

💢 Flexible with days you can work, would need to be days during the week and a weekend day

Before you apply you need to know that this can be a very tiring job, you are on your feet most of the day and at the moment it's very hot and sweaty in the cafe, you don't get to have morning or lunchtime breaks as that is obviously when we are busy but there is perks to the job to make up for that. It is minimum pay with tips split evenly at the end of the shift.

We are a small cafe which means a small team and with that whoever gets taken on has to be committed as there is no cover for constant sick days etc

In saying all that we do have fun and we have so many amazing regular customers to make our day fly by.

This post is about an amazing young woman called Nicole Perry who is raising funds for cure leukemia and she is soooo close to her target and through this post we would love to get her to her 30k!!!!!

I know of Nicole because her Dad has been her campaign super star not only did he initially come into the cafe to put up posters to get the word out there but he has came back in twice to update me on how she is doing and just this morning sent me a video which has had me in tears so thanks for that Jim 😊

You need to go and read what this amazing super woman is doing because I don't think people who have trained there whole life would take on what she has as an amateur cyclist.

If you know anyone in the media who will pick this story up as it deserves much more than its getting especially in her own home town or if you can donate even a small amount it would be amazing.

No go, go and read all about her and pass the word on to everyone

I know her Dad Jim would be ever so grateful for every share and donation ❤️
