Good Moaning My Lovelies, from Hawkers Cove, near Padstow, on Friday 12th June 2026 and welcome to today's (long winded, boring) ramblings.........
Once again, a massive thank you to everyone reading and responding to my daily nonsense and welcome to all the new readers and followers, with more mad people, joining us every day...... It's lovely to have you along!
Please interact by adding your comments, opinions and any photos to my daily ramblings....... I do read them all and try to respond, (eventually) and enjoy knowing what you think, good or bad, (and I do enjoy some banter, with the bad ones)...........
Don't forget to say hello and tell me who you are when you visit..........

After posting the 7.00am photo yesterday and predicting (and hoping for) good weather, (if we could avoid the showers) in time for opening at 11.00am, the weather was bleddy awful, all morning with very heavy drizzle, non stop!
So 11.00am came and went and I was disappointed to be sat upstairs, after baking my scones and quiches, unable to see across the estuary, because of the mizzle.........
So it turned out that the billions of pounds worth of satellites and other equipment, was much more effective, than me, (Mr Know It All), putting my finger in my mouth and holding it up in the air!
Humble pie eaten............ lol

So I was watching TV, (the end of the England versus Costa Rica match that I missed from the night before), when I received a phone call, at about 12.35pm, from a couple, taking their dog down to the beach and wondering whether the tea garden was open!
I apologised and told them that we were closed, but if the weather improved, in the next 20 minutes, I would open up!
So I went downstairs and, looking out of the kitchen window, could see that the tables weren't as wet as last time I looked, so me and Alfie went round to open.........

So I was open by about 1.00pm and phoned the dog walking couple back, to let them know......... and they were my first customers, about 20 minutes later, (who quickly learned that I could talk for England)......... followed by a steady trickle of happy smiling faces right through to, (and past) 3.00pm..........
I closed at about 3.15pm, in the end, and left the last party of four young people, sitting there, with my usual 'last one out, lock the gate'......... they were lovely, three young men (two from London and one from the USA) and a young lady (from Australia) who began quizzing me on my scones (recipe and method), before I left them there............

The forecast for today, is for mainly dry but murky, with a possibilityof some odd sporadic drizzle, and a fresh breeze.
What do they know?
After yesterday, obviously more than me!

Sunrise was at 5.05am and sunset at 9.33pm, so the same as yesterday as the days keep getting longer, until the longest day of the year, (the Summer Solstice), a week on Sunday........

The (still not very low) low tide, in Padstow, is at 9.43 this morning and (not very high) high tide is at 3.40pm, so Hawkers Cove won't be accessible across the beach, during our opening hours and, once again, you'll have to come along the Coast Path..........
The difference between high and low tide is just under five metres, gaining each day as we head towards the New Moon (no moon), on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday............

The moon is in its waning crescent phase, so visually will continue appearing smaller, for the next few days, until the New Moon (No Moon).
Tonight, less than a quarter of the moon will be visible, clouds permitting, from 2.39am, until just before 6.47pm tomorrow afternoon ..........
So again, the moon will be 'out' for most of the day, rather than during the night!

Dawn travelled back to the Isle of Wight yesterday, so it's just me and Alfie at the moment, so very late walking round the block, last night, after falling asleep, in front of the TV.
Once again, nothing to report, apart from one small toad and 2000 snails, enjoyingthe very light drizzle!

Today's pic from my bedroom window, looking across to Polzeath and Trebetherick, at 6.20am, is again, very bland....... grey, misty, cloudy and damp...... you can hardly see the other side!

The official forecast is cloudy with spots of drizzle and a light breeze, this morning, with a temperature of about 16°C.
Once again, if the drizzle clears, (think positive) we're hoping for a nice day for a walk, and hopefully we'll see some of you later on, once it brightens up........ (don't quote me on that).

Happy holidays everyone xx

Thursday morning UPDATE........

It's now 11.10am and we should have opened ten minutes ago, but it looks like the billions of pounds worth of satellites and weather forecasting technology has got the better of me, (Mr Know It All), with my finger in the air to predict today's weather........

The bedroom window pic, two minutes ago is miserable....... everything is dripping wet and heavy mizzle is making it very unpleasant out there!
Technical term is 'rough as buggery', once again.

All I can do is apologise and state that if the rain stops before 1.00pm, I will go round and open up.........
If not, we will hopefully see some of you tomorrow.

The weekend is looking phenomenal, weather wise, so definitely open then.

If it's still miserable, please phone before setting out to check whether we're open or not!

Happy holidays everyone xx

Good Moaning Lovely People, from Hawkers Cove, near Padstow, on Thursday 11th June 2026 and welcome to today's ramblings.........
A massive thank you to everyone reading and responding to my daily nonsense and welcome to all the new readers and followers, with more mad people, joining us every day...... It's lovely to have you along!
Please interact by adding your comments, opinions and any photos to my daily ramblings....... I do read them all and try to respond, (eventually) and enjoy knowing what you think, good or bad, (and I do enjoy some banter, with the bad ones)...........
Don't forget to say hello and tell me who you are when you visit..........It was lovely to meet local plumber, Stuart (and his wife) and a couple of mates, visiting him in Padstow, and Geoff, (a proper local boy after moving from Wadebridge to Padstow, 60 odd years ago).
Also Bob and Sue, from Newquay, who had brought some friends, visiting from the Netherlands, for a Proper Job Cream Tea, to name just a few...........

After posting the 7.00am photo yesterday and predicting (and hoping for) good weather, (if we could avoid the showers) in time for opening at 11.00am, the weather was very pleasant, all day, with no rain and was mostly sunny, and we had a steady stream of happy smiling faces right through, (and past) 3.00pm..........
I didn't manage to close until about 3.25pm, in the end, as people kept coming and eventually left the last ones sitting there, with my usual 'last one out, lock the gate'.........

The forecast for today, on the BBC Weather App is for light rain, and a fresh breeze, for most of the day, after some heavy rain last night.......
What do they know?
I think that the rain will pass through, heading east and I'm hoping to be able to open at 11.00am......... (possibly the odd light shower, but hopefully not).

Billions of pounds worth of satellites and other equipment, verses me, putting my finger in my mouth and holding it up in the air!
We'll see, later today who is correct........ (I may be eating humble pie, tomorrow).

Sunrise is at 5.05am and sunset at 9.33pm, so one minute more daylight, than yesterday as the days keep getting longer, (now 15 ish more minutes of daylight, each week, which all mount up), as we head towards the longest day of the year, (the Summer Solstice), a week on Sunday........

The (still not very low) low tide, in Padstow, is at 8.40 this morning and (not very high) high tide is at 2.40pm, so Hawkers Cove won't be accessible across the beach, during our opening hours and, once again, you'll have to come along the Coast Path..........
The difference between high and low tide is only just over four metres, gaining each day as we head towards the New Moon (no moon), on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday............

The moon is in its waning crescent phase, so visually will continue appearing smaller, for the next few days, until the New Moon (No Moon).
Tonight, about a quarter of the moon will be visible, clouds permitting, from 2.20am, until just before 5.17pm tomorrow afternoon ..........
So the moon will be 'out' more during the day, than during the night!

When Alfie took me, (and Dawn), round the block at about 9.45pm last night, it was still light, and dry, but the wind was a bit nippy.
Once again, we didn't see any wildlife, so I really don't know what's happened to them all!

Today's pic from my bedroom window, looking across to Polzeath and Trebetherick, and out to Pentire Point, at 7.05am, is again, a bit bland....... grey, cloudy and damp and the heavy rain showers are passing through.......

The official forecast is for light rain showers and a moderate breeze, this morning, with a temperature of about 14°C.
Once again, if we can avoid the showers (think positive), we're hoping for a nice day for a walk, but I recommend carrying wet weather gear, in the backpack, just in case!

Hopefully we'll see some of you later on, once it brightens up, this afternoon....... (don't quote me on that).
We won't need the umbrellas!

Happy holidays everyone xx

10/06/2026

Happy Wednesday, My Lovelies, from Hawkers Cove, near Padstow, on Wednesday 10th June 2026 and welcome to today's nonsense.........
A massive thank you to everyone reading and responding to my daily ramblings and welcome to all the new readers and followers, with more mad people, joining us every day...... It's lovely to have you along!
We're fast approaching the 5000 mark and I'm thinking of what we can do to celebrate that milestone........... possibly a competition of some kind.
Watch this space!
Please interact by adding your comments, opinions and any photos to my daily drivel...... I do read them all and try to respond, (eventually) and enjoy knowing what you think, good or bad, (and I do enjoy some banter, with the bad ones)...........

After I finished the morning baking, yesterday, I left you in the very capable hands of my happy helpers whilst Dawn and I went out for supplies, (still laughing at the very politically incorrect joke about the Chinese man who was put in charge of supplies)...........
For goodness sake......... an old man with the sense of humour of a child!

After posting the 7.00am photo yesterday and predicting (and hoping for) good weather, (if we could avoid the showers) in time for opening at 11.00am, the weather wasn't too bad.
It was mostly sunny, apart from two major downpours when the umbrellas were quickly handed out through the window........
So, apart from that blip, my weather forecasting skills seem to be getting better, but I think that the threat of some heavy sporadic showers, yesterday, put a lot of people off having a walk, as we only saw half the numbers of the previous day!

The forecast for today is for heavy rain showers, early in the morning and a fresh breeze, after some heavy rain last night.......
The showers are quickly moving east and we should see more sunny spells after lunch.
Once again, I'm hoping that we'll avoid the showers and we'll open just before 11.00am, when our Scones, Quiches, (Dawn's) Coffee and Walnut Cake and our other goodies will be ready to serve........ (weather permitting)!

Sunrise was at 5.05am and sunset is at 9.32pm, so two minutes more daylight, than yesterday as the days keep getting longer, (now 15 ish more minutes of daylight, each week, which all mount up), as we head towards the longest day of the year, the Summer Solstice, a week on Sunday........

Th (not very low) low tide, in Padstow, is at 7.32 this morning and 8.02 this evening and (not very high) high tide is at 1.34pm, so Hawkers Cove won't be accessible across the beach, during our opening hours and you'll have to come along the Coast Path..........
The difference between high and low tide is only just over three metres, compared to almost double that each month when we have a full moon........

The moon is in its last quarter phase, so visually will continue appearing smaller, for the next five days, until the next New Moon (No Moon) on Sunday 14th June.
During a new moon, the moon sits directly between the Earth and the sun, meaning its illuminated side faces away from us, making it invisible in the night sky. This marks the beginning of a fresh 29.5-day lunar cycle.
The exact alignment will happen at 3.54am on Monday 15th June..........
A bit more info, regarding the moon and tides, from one of the readers of my daily nonsense, who knows more about it than I do...... (thank you Paul)
When the sun, and the moon are in alignment with the Earth their combined gravity causes a spring tide. When at 90° degrees is when we get a neap tide.

Tonight, about a third of the moon will be visible, clouds permitting, from 2.05am, until just before 4.00pm tomorrow afternoon .......... so mostly during the day, again.

Today's pic from my bedroom window, looking across to Polzeath and Trebetherick, at 5.25am, is again, grey, cloudy and damp and the heavy rain showers are passing through.......
The sun is trying, but I'm worrying that all of the morning photos are looking the same ATM......... (although there is a bit of colour there), so I'm looking forward to a nice bright, colourful sunrise at the weekend!

The official forecast is for sporadic rain showers and a moderate breeze, this morning, clearing later, with a temperature of about 16°C.
If we can avoid the showers (think positive) we're hoping for a nice day for a walk, but I recommend carrying wet weather gear, in the backpack, just in case!

Hopefully we'll see some of you later on, in the bright sunshine, this afternoon....... (don't quote me on that).
We will have umbrellas available, if required..........

Happy holidays everyone xx

A Very Good Tuesday Moaning, My Beauties, from Hawkers Cove, near Padstow, on Tuesday 9th June 2026 and welcome to today's ramblings.........
A massive thank you to everyone reading and responding to my daily nonsense and welcome to all the new readers and followers, with more mad people, joining us every day...... It's lovely to have you along!
Please interact by adding your comments, opinions and any photos to my daily drivel....... I do read them all and try to respond, (eventually) and enjoy knowing what you think, good or bad, (and I do enjoy some banter)...........

It was lovely to put faces to names of some of my readers and followers, yesterday, as lots of people said hello and weren't embarrassed to admit that they read my nonsense. So if you visit, make sure that you say hello, and tell me who you are!
(Not me today, as Dawn and I are going out for supplies, so my happy helpers will be here to look after you)........
Whenever I write that I'm going for supplies, I can't help thinking back 40 or 50 years to the very politically incorrect joke about the Chinese man who was put in charge of supplies........ still makes me laugh!

After posting the 7.00am photo yesterday and predicting (and hoping for) good weather, in time for opening at 11.00am, the weather was glorious, warm and sunny, right through the day and past closing.......
So my weather forecasting skills seem to be getting better and, once again, we saw a steady stream of happy people, glad to be out and about, with some, actively seeking us out and some finding the tea garden by accident.

The forecast for today is for light rain showers and a fresh breeze, (very fresh, by the look of it) after some heavy rain last night.......
I'm hoping that we'll avoid the showers again, as we did yesterday, and we'll open just before 11.00am, when our Scones, Quiches, (Dawn's) Coffee and Walnut Cake and our other goodies will be ready to serve........ (weather permitting)!

When Alfie took me round the block last night at about 10.00pm, it wasn't too bad........
Still light, dry, hardly any wind and reasonably mild, with no moon (I was too early) and no nature (no hedgehog, no bats and no toads)............
I don't know what's happened to them all!

Back to today.......
Sunrise is again at 5.06am and sunset at 9.31pm, (the same as yesterday), so no more daylight, as the days keep getting longer, (now 15 ish more minutes of daylight, each week, which all mount up), as we head towards the longest day of the year, the Summer Solstice, in less than two weeks........

The (not very low) low tide, in Padstow, is at 6.26 this morning and 6.51 this evening and high tide is at 12.27pm, lunchtime, so Hawkers Cove won't be accessible across the beach, during our opening hours and you'll have to come along the Coast Path..........

The moon is in its last quarter phase, so visually will continue appearing smaller, for the next six days, until the next New Moon (No Moon) on Sunday.
Tonight, just under half of the moon will be visible, clouds permitting, from 1.52am, until about 2.30 tomorrow afternoon ..........

Today's pic from my bedroom window, looking across to Polzeath and Trebetherick, at 7.00am, is grey, cloudy and damp but the heavy rain has already passed and the sun is trying to break through the clouds and casting a very bright reflection on the water.
So it's looking promising for a nice day later on........ although it's a bit blowy.......

The official forecast is for sporadic light rain showers and a moderate breeze, from this morning onwards, with a temperature of about 16°C, so we're again hoping for a lovely day for a walk.

Fingers crossed that we can avoid the rain and hopefully my happy helpers will see some of you later.......

Happy holidays everyone xx

Good Moaning, Lovely People, from Hawkers Cove, near Padstow, on Monday 8th June 2026 and welcome to today's 'long winded boring drivel', (as quoted by one of the readers of this nonsense).........
A massive thank you to everyone reading and responding to my daily ramblings and welcome to all the new readers and followers, with more mad people, joining us every day...... It's lovely to have you along!
Please interact by adding your comments, opinions and any photos to my daily nonsense....... I do read them all and try to respond, (eventually) and enjoy knowing what you think!

It's lovely to put faces to names of some of my readers and followers, when you visit, so make sure that you say hello, and tell me who you are!

After posting the 6.30am photo yesterday and predicting (and hoping for) good weather, in time for opening at 11.00am, the weather was warm and sunny, until about 2.30pm, when it started raining and we handed out a couple of umbrellas.........
So I was almost right, just my timing was out......... (it wasn't supposed to rain until after we closed).
All in all, we saw a steady stream of happy people, glad to be out and about, after the horrendous Saturday weather!

The forecast for today is for light rain and a fresh breeze, after heavier rain last night.......
I'm hoping that we'll avoid the showers again, as yesterday, and we'll open just before 11.00am, when our scones, quiches and usual goodies will be ready to serve........ (weather permitting)!

When Alfie took me round the block last night at about 8.45pm, it wasn't too bad........
Not cold or windy and no rain.
Still light, no moon and no nature........
Maybe we'll see more tonight!

Sunrise, today at 5.06am and sunset at 9.31pm, so two minutes more daylight than yesterday, as the days keep getting longer, (now 15 to 20 ish more minutes of daylight, each week, which all mount up), as we head towards the longest day of the year, the Summer Solstice, in two weeks........

Back to today.......
High tide, in Padstow, is at 11.24 this morning and low tide is at 5.45, this afternoon so Hawkers Cove won't be accessible across the beach, during our opening hours..........

The moon is in its last quarter phase, so visually will continue appearing smaller, for the next six days, until the next New Moon on Sunday 14th June.
Tonight, half of the moon will be visible, clouds permitting, from 1.39am, until about 1.13 tomorrow afternoon ..........

Today's pic from my bedroom window, at 6.55am, is almost identical to yesterday's, grey, cloudy and damp, but the heavy rain has already passed and it's looking promising for a nice day later on........
Looking across to Polzeath and Trebetherick, I'm afraid there's no brightly coloured sunrise, but we've got that to look forward to, at the weekend.........

So, once again, the official forecast is for sporadic light rain showers and a moderate breeze, from this morning onwards, with a temperature of about 16°C, so we're hoping for a lovely day for a walk.

Fingers crossed that we can avoid the rain and hopefully we'll see some of you later.......

Happy holidays everyone xx

A very Good Sunday Moaning, My Beauties, from Hawkers Cove, near Padstow, on Sunday 7th June 2026 and welcome to today's long winded boring drivel.........
Sorry to repeat the apology for the repetition, of the repetition, but a massive thank you to everyone reading and responding to my daily nonsense and welcome to all the new readers and followers, with more mad people, joining us every day......

After posting the 6.30am photo yesterday and predicting (and hoping for) good weather, in time for opening at 11.00am, the weather was much worse than we thought......
They cancelled the last day of the Royal Cornwall Show, which will have cost hundreds of thousands of pounds and the gale force winds meant that the rain was coming in sideways to Hawkers Cove.
Pictures of wrecked tents of campers at the 'Tunes in the Dunes' festival at Perranporth also showing the devastation that can be caused at very short notice.......
Although many people's activities were spoilt, I haven't heard of any serious injuries or fatalities, which is the main thing!

I thought that when the rain stopped at lunchtime, we would be able to open, but the wind was ridiculous and, worrying about slates flying off the roof, I reluctantly made the decision to remain closed..........
Apologies to anyone who walked out in the wind, to find the tea garden closed, but it really wasn't nice out there and (no matter how good our Cream Teas are), it wouldn't have been a pleasant experience......

The forecast for today is for a brisk wind, but nothing like yesterday, and with showers that have already moved to the north and west, an almost zero chance of rain following on, so I'm hoping to open just before 11.00am.

Sorry for the repetition to those of you who regularly read this nonsense, but you will know that my weather forecasting skills, sometimes leave a lot to be desired, so once again, if it's dry, at 11.00am, we will open, but if it's raining we won't....... lol.
Optimistically, (as usual), I think we will be opening! (But I thought that yesterday)

Scones, quiches and our usual goodies will be ready to serve from 11.00am....... weather permitting!

When Alfie took me round the block last night at about 9.45pm, it was still windy and quite cold, (I was wearing shorts, so my own fault) and trying to rain, so we didn't hang around, and once again, no moon and no nature, in our rush to get back inside........
Maybe we'll see more during tonight's walk.

Sunrise, today at 5.07am and sunset at 9.30pm, so only one minute more daylight than yesterday, as the days keep getting longer, (now 15 to 20 ish more minutes of daylight, each week, which all mount up), as we head towards the longest day of the year, the Summer Solstice, in two weeks........
Once again, repeating Summer Solstice info for anyone who didn't see it in the last couple of days.......

The Longest Day: Summer Solstice
Sunday, 21 June 2026
On this day, in Padstow, you will enjoy roughly 16 hours and 26 minutes of daylight.
Sunrise at about 5:08 am and Sunset at about 9:34 pm, but because of "Civil Twilight," it will actually start getting light as early as 4:22 am and won't be fully dark until about 10:20 pm.

Back to today.......
High tide, in Padstow, is at 10.29 this morning and low tide is at 4.49, this afternoon so Hawkers Cove may not be accessible across the beach, during our opening hours..........

The moon is in its last quarter phase, so visually will continue appearing smaller, for the next few days, until the next New Moon on 14th June.
During a new moon, the moon sits directly between the Earth and the sun, meaning its illuminated side faces away from us, making it invisible in the night sky. This marks the beginning of a fresh 29.5-day lunar cycle.
The exact alignment will happen at 3.54am on Sunday 15th June..........
Tonight, just over half of the moon will be visible, clouds permitting, from 1.26am, until about 11.08 tomorrow morning ..........

Today's pic from my bedroom window, at 6.30am, is grey and cloudy but looking promising for a much brighter day than yesterday........
Looking across to Polzeath and Trebetherick, the sea is calmer in the estuary, but round the edges and further out, is once again........ as rough as buggery! (This is now one of my favourite technical terms, often used in weather forecasting)......
It can't be too bad as a small fishing boat has just headed out...........

The official forecast is for a brisk wind and no rain, from this morning onwards, with a temperature of about 17°C, so we're hoping for a lovely day for a walk.

Fingers crossed and hopefully we'll see some of you later.......

Happy holidays everyone xx

SATURDAY UPDATE.......

Due to the horrendous weather, with the possibility of slates coming off the roofs of the Coastguard Houses, I have reluctantly decided to remain closed today, for safety reasons.....

Also it's bleddy awful out there and wouldn't be the lovely calm peaceful atmosphere that we want our visitors to enjoy.

The forecast for tomorrow is much better, so I'm optimistic (as always) that we will be open from 11.00am till 3.00pm, when almost all of our freshly baked homemade goodies will be available.........

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Looking forward to seeing everyone........ eventually xx

06/06/2026

D Day! 82 years ago today!
Good Moaning, My Lovelies, from Hawkers Cove, near Padstow, on Saturday 6th June 2026 and welcome to today's ramblings.........
D Day....... 6th June 1944......... On this day during World War II, Allied forces launched Operation Overlord, invading the beaches of Normandy, France. It remains the largest amphibious invasion in history and marked the beginning of the liberation of Western Europe from N**i control.
Worth remembering!

Sorry to repeat the apology for the repetition, of the repetition, but a massive thank you to everyone reading and responding to my daily nonsense and welcome to all the new readers and followers, with more mad people, joining us every day......

After posting the 5.30am photo yesterday and predicting (and hoping for) good weather, in time for opening at 11.00am, the weather wasn't too bad and I went round to open up at about 10.50am......
There was a couple waiting for me and within five minutes, a few more couples, in the queue, waiting for the tea garden to open and start service, so a promising start to the day and the scones were flying out early on.......

All good until about 12.30pm when the rain started, but walkers were already out and about so were still coming in and taking advantage of our umbrellas........
So we ticked over, even though we couldn't see many people on the the beach, or the Coast Path, in either direction, but they kept coming from somewhere.........

It was a bit blustery, but the rain wasn't too heavy and we remained open right through until 3.00pm.

The forecast for today is for gale force winds and heavy rain early on but I'm hoping to be able to open just before 11.00am and dodge any remaining showers, which may, or may not, pass us by (fingers crossed) .......
Sorry for the repetition to those of you who regularly read this drivel, but you will know that my weather forecasting skills, sometimes leave a lot to be desired, so once again, if it's dry, at 11.00am, we will open, but if it's raining we won't....... lol.
Optimistically, (as usual), I think we will be opening!

If the weather is 'iffy' then please give me a call to check, before setting out........ (lightweight wet weather gear, in your backpack, just in case).
Before careful on the Coast Path, in the very strong winds and don't go near the cliff edges, (keep dogs on leads as well).......

Scones, quiches and our usual goodies will be ready to serve from 11.00am....... weather permitting!

When Alfie took me round the block last night at about 9.45pm, it was blowing a hoolie and persisting down, so it was heads down and we yomped round the block in record time, before giving him a good rub down with a giant towel when we got back...........
No moon and no nature, in our rush to get back inside........
Maybe we'll see more during tonight's escapades.

Sunrise, today at 5.07am and sunset at 9.29pm, so two minutes more daylight than yesterday, as the days keep getting longer, (now 15 to 20 ish more minutes of daylight, each week, which all mount up), as we head towards the longest day of the year, the Summer Solstice, in just over two weeks........
Repeating Summer Solstice info for anyone who didn't see it yesterday.......

High tide, in Padstow, is at 9.42 this morning and 10.06 this evening, and low tide is at 4.01, this afternoon so you may be able to get to Hawkers Cove, once again, across the beach, after lunch, if we're open..........
The moon is in its waning gibbous phase, so visually will continue appearing smaller, for the next few days, until the next New Moon on 14th June.
Tonight, about two thirds of the moon will be visible, clouds permitting, from 1.11am, until about 10.43 tomorrow morning ..........

Today's pic from my bedroom window, at 6.30am, is grey, wet and cloudy and not looking promising for a nice day........
Looking across to Polzeath and Trebetherick, with the sea not very welcoming, and once again........ as rough as buggery! (This is a technical term, often used in weather forecasting)......
Also included a pic of me taking Alfie for a walk in the wind, earlier on........ lol

The official forecast is for very strong (gale force) winds and heavy rain, this morning, continuing from last night, that I'm hoping will clear before lunch.

Fingers crossed and hopefully we'll see some of you later.......

Happy holidays everyone xx
