It is not easy to find the right words to describe how we feel.

As we come to the end of our journey with Gay Lane Fisheries, we would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who visited us during our final week. Thank you for all the kind words, wishes, beautiful cards, gifts, handshakes and smiles. Every single gesture means so much to us and will stay in our hearts forever.

For almost seven years, we have had the privilege of being part of the wonderful Otley community. We have met so many amazing people, and many of our customers became much more than customers β€” they became friends.

Although we are closing this chapter, the memories we have created together will stay with us for a lifetime.
Thank you for your trust, loyalty and support throughout the years. Thank you for allowing us to be a small part of your lives.

We wish you all good health, happiness and all the very best for the future.

We never thought we would be writing this post…
But this is it. This is our final week.
After years of serving the amazing people of Otley and the surrounding areas, Gay Lane Fisheries will close its doors for the final time on Saturday, 25th July 2026.
This little shop has been so much more than just a fish and chip shop to us. It has been a huge part of our lives. We have met so many wonderful people, shared countless conversations, laughs and memories, and been incredibly lucky to have such amazing customers.
To everyone who has ever ordered from us, recommended us, left us a review, shared one of our posts, had a chat with us, or simply supported our little family business β€” THANK YOU. Truly. ❀️

This week, we will be selling everything we have left.
So, as the week goes on, some items may become unavailable. When something is gone, it’s gone β€” there will be no more coming in.

If you want one last fish and chips, one last portion of loaded chips, one last favourite from Gay Lane Fisheries… this is your chance. 🍟🐟

Today, Wednesday 20th May 2026, we are open as usual: 12:00pm–2:00pm & 4:30pm–8:00pm.

Of course we’ve got your favourite fish & chips🐟🍟, but also plenty of other tasty treats: Loaded chips with shredded chicken and a great choice of sauces, chicken & beef burgersπŸ”, haggis bon bons, cream cheese & jalapeΓ±o snacks, mozzarella sticks and much more.
