Sir Geoff Hurst knows how to win the World Cup!
Hat-trick hero Sir Geoff, the last surviving member of the legendary 1966 World Cup winning side, is valiantly supporting the under pressure fish and chips community by calling on the nation to back England with the historical dish rather than the three quarters of Brits who reach for pizza, burgers or nachos on matchdays.
He added: "When it comes to watching England, fish and chips should be as much a part of the matchday ritual as singing Three Lions.
"I was shocked when I heard how few fans are choosing fish and chips – how can you cheer on England with a slice of pizza in your hand? This could be the reason England hasn't won in the last 60 years! Eat fish and chips for England!"
