Today is the 82nd anniversary of D-Day, we remember and honour the courage, sacrifice, and determination of all those who served during the second world war.
Here at The Old Coffee Pot remembrance is close to our heart. The building has previously been catering for the military. We even had a courageous lady who was a decoder working from the top floor of the building. We are also privileged to stand opposite the war memorial in Cae Glas Park, a daily reminder of the brave men and women who gave so much for our freedoms we enjoy today.
It is impossible for us to truly imagine the fear, uncertainty, and courage those young men and women faced. They stepped into situations that must have been terrifying beyond words, yet carried on for the sake of future generations.
Let us never take our freedoms for granted. We owe a debt of gratitude that can never truly be repaid.
To all the brave souls who served, fought, and sacrificed, thank you. We will remember you always ❤️🇬🇧🇨🇦🇺🇲
