We would like to reassure customers that the police presence at our premises today was not related to our pub, staff, customers, or any incident within our business.
Officers attended the area in connection with a matter involving an individual from a neighbouring property. The pub was not involved in any way.

ORMSKIRKS MOST FORMIDABLE COLD CASE:
70 Years On: The Unsolved Murder of the Ormesher Sisters

On the evening of Saturday, 5th May 1956, Ormskirk tobacconists and sweetshop owners, Margaret and Mary Ormesher were bludgeoned to death at their home on Asmall Lane in an apparent violent robbery attack.
No arrests have ever been made for their killing, even after a investigation that saw the police take fingerprints of every male aged over 18 in Ormskirk.

The incident has become stuff of legend, that both baffles and intrigues.

Will the case ever be solved? What are your thoughts?
