Good morning Uppermill!

Got the case of the mid service wiggles.

Capturing enough content when you are working on the bar all day, is tough. Anyone else’s camera roll backed up with loads of videos that are absolutely useless. Or dead long because you forgot to stop them?

Anyway to just posting to say we are here and brewing!

BIG NEWS!!

Our Place is so excited to host The Bud & Pot for an evening of festive wreath making.

Taking guidance from Hannah, Bud & Pot’s owner and floral designer, you’ll be treated to a relaxed and festive evening where you will get to create your own abundant, moss-based wreath with beautiful seasonal foliage, berries and natural ingredients, finished with The Bud & Pot || Manchester Florist ‘s signature luxury ribbons and bows.

Take home wreaths will be approximately 55–65cm wide, made on a 12” moss base.

The whole evening will be festive and fun-filled, with tickets including a complimentary arrival fizz and a mince pie. If you are part of a couple and want to attend but only make one wreath, please select the additional guest option (without a wreath) when booking, to help us with table planning.

Tickets are limited to ensure each wreath maker gets the time and attention they deserve, so book early to avoid disappointment!

Good morning 🩷 Our second Wholesome Girls event is tonight!

If you missed the first one and regretted it when you seen the pictures this is your sign!

If you’re coming on your own and feeling a bit nervous, I promise you won’t be the only one. Most people are coming alone, and we’re all still getting to know each other.

It’s just a really relaxed evening doing the things we used to love before phones and screens took over.

There are still a couple of spaces left too — ignore what Eventbrite says. Just drop me a message so we can gauge numbers.

A U T U M N A L O R Z O
Roast butternut squash with a kale & mushroom orzo cooked with a mirepoix base, homemade mushroom stock, garlic & sage. This one was brought to life with feta, but would also be great with a poached egg or even bacon cooked through. This orzo is super savoury & rich with flavour, AND if you have it in its most basic form, it’s vegan!

W O W E E E E E what a weekend!

Thank you so much to everyone who visited this weekend. Be it for Tasmin Lucy and Joe George ‘s exhibition, Poppy⭐️ performing, thewholesomegirlsclub walk and coffee, Rapha Manchester club ride cafe stop, or just generally for your favourite brunch and coffee combo!

We had just the best time hosting you all!! What a dream.

Our first autumnal special is here and it’s a doozy…
APPLE & CINNAMON CRUMBLE ICED MATCHA
Homemade apple & cinnamon syrup, matcha, milk, cold foam, and crumble topping! For the vegans and dairy free amongst us, we also now have an Oatly cold foam for the top, which is what you see here.

This drink surprised me. As a non matcha drinker, I reckon I could finish off a few of these! On while the weather is cooler and the apples are in season.

Not long now until Painting Escapades host their first event at Our Place Uppermill. Don’t delay in booking your space and helping support another local business whilst having lots of fun, a bit of ‘me time’, surprising yourself with a beautiful masterpiece 🖼️ and sipping and eating to your heart’s content ❤️ 🍰 ☕️ 🥂 Come with friends, come with family or come alone, you’ll be made to feel very welcome 😊

I’ve never wanted to do something sweet on the menu unless we could do it justice. So here you have it…

CINNAMON FRENCH TOAST
With stewed blueberries, maple crème fraiche, blueberry syrup and extra maple syrup for pouring or dipping.
We’ve already sold heaps of these, so you best get you bum in gear if you want to try it!

Prove me wrong, and if we sell over 50 of these this weekend, it can stay!
