We had plans to golf today.
Tees were booked and clubs were clean,
Ready for that fairway green!

So sod the golf, the weather’s won,
Britain’s cancelled summer fun.
Yet Village Pantry’.s warm and bright,
Serving breakfasts done up right.

Coffee strong and bacon stacked,
Exactly what the morning lacked.
So if the rain won’t let us play,
At least breakfast saves the day ⛳️🍳🤣
