Chakra Shakers’ Side Hustle

Chakra Shakers are a DIY International touring Rock’n’Roll garage punk band. Formed in Portugal and now residing in Nottingham, they have toured 11 countries and have released 3 eps on Waayunderground.bandcamp.com.

The Side Hustle is exactly that. A way to play pubs beyond the limited scope of the punk scene. The concept is relatively loose. Sometimes acoustic, sometimes electric, with a mix of covers ranging from Merle Haggard to Iggy Pop. But the goal is always the same - to bring a fun, vibrant, energetic show every time.

The Terrible Parents — an acoustic folk duo with a bit of folk rock grit, hailing from Southwell. Gord: guitarist, singer, and the one responsible for turning the chaos in his head into songs about life, love, family, and whatever random nonsense refuses to leave him alone at 2am. Then there’s Sarah — classically trained, wildly talented, and frankly the reason any of this sounds remotely good. The Terrible Parents are too busy bringing up kids and dragging them around festivals and other gigs to worry about recording, but they are ace so come and see them at the Lincolnshire Poacher!

Get ready all you Quiz Quiztoffersons, Quizzee Rascals and Bucks Quizzers! The World Famous Poacher Pub Quiz is back for May!

There will be a tasting round as well as the usual variety of devilish questions, music intros and picture puzzles to get to grips with.

The quiz kicks off at 8:00 although arriving early to bag a table is advised!

£1 per person with all money going to the British Heart Foundation.

It’s our take on the song-based traditional electric Rhythm & Blues we love.
We try & create Blues how it is meant to be played live keeping things simple with riffs, grooves, boogies .
Featuring Chris on Harmonica & Vocals, Pete on Guitar/Slide & Vocals , Jasmin on Bass & Leon on Drums or in our case actually hitting Suitcases & whatever is available , traditional Blues is the story, the melody, and on creating a mood.
Inspiration for their old-school sounds from the music they love from artists such as Little Walter, Robert Nighthawk. Muddy Waters , Howlin’ Wolf , Junior Wells, Hound Dog Taylor, and so many others.
The band uses vintage instruments and amps to produce their authentic sound,
