Update: Having spoken to fire and rescue, and the police, we have been advised we are unable to open today.

Specialist equipment is being used to assess the nearby affected buildings which means it's impossible for us to open. This is just a precaution because they are old, but beautiful buildings. Fingers crossed the old saying "they don't make things like they used to" still holds true. 🙏

Provided there are no major unseen issues we are hoping to be able to open tomorrow.

Once again, thank you to our fire service for being prepared to put themselves in danger. This could have been far far worse.

Fire on Market Street last night has resulted in closure of roads around us and no trams. Although not directly affected we can't get into Josephine's to assess anything as the whole section is cordoned off.

We're planning on trying to get access at around midday with the aim of reopening in the afternoon if allowed. Our building is not affected by the fire as far as we know.

Thoughts are obviously with everyone affected, particularly our friends at Escobar.

Thank you to the amazing Nottingham Fire & Rescue teams for preventing this from spreading and protecting life and property.
