Hi everyone! Hope you're having a good Wednesday. I have the menu for Sherwood Vegan Market this coming Saturday:

Funfetti cookies (they're back!)

My back is pretty much behaving itself, so I shall be there. Healing thoughts/vibes still very welcome though!

Oh, to be thirty again! This was a tricky cake to make whilst struggling with a bad back and sciatica 😏. However, It was good to take my mind off the current state of my body and was certainly made very slowly! Lemon cake with lemon flavoured buttercream 😋

Sadly, I won't be at Sherwood Vegan Market on Saturday as I've got a bad back. It's been really rough and very painful but with brilliant physio and very strong drugs I'm getting there slowly. Just not fast enough to be doing market prep! Hopefully see you all soon 🎂

Well it's nearly the end of August and my lovely friend, Jo's birthday was back in June but, hey, what's two months between friends 😉. Lemon and raspberry with a lemon flavoured buttercream. Happy belated birthday, lovely! 🎂

Congratulations C & J! Married today Newstead Abbey !

This lovely cake is a lemon and raspberry cake with lemon flavoured buttercream 😋. As often happens, a batch of gluten free cupcakes were provided in the same flavour. BUT the bride's favourite flavour is carrot so there were a batch of carrot cupcakes provided too! All bases covered 😉

Congratulations E & J on your wedding today!

Venue Brinsley Animal Rescue . Maybe good that it was a little cooler today, especially as the whole event was outside. Also, I've never assembled a wedding cake in a cow shed before!

Bottom tier - rose, raspberry and white chocolate, middle tier - carrot and top tier - chocolate and ginger. All coated in white chocolate ganache instead of buttercream. The former stands up so much better in the summer months so is a good option to plump for if you're planning a wedding when it's likely to be very warm.
