Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. However, it is important to clarify several key points before any conclusions are drawn.
Moja Indian Takeaway holds a 5-star Food Hygiene Rating and has consistently maintained this standard for over 12 years, following regular inspections. We work closely with the Environmental Health Authority to ensure that all food safety procedures meet—and exceed—regulatory requirements.
To date, no direct complaints or reports of illness have been received by the business relating to food consumed on Friday the 12th, despite serving hundreds of customers that evening.
At present, the allegation has been made anonymously, and no contact has been initiated with the business or Environmental Health. As such, there is no verifiable information to establish a direct link between the reported illness and food supplied by Moja Indian Takeaway. It is also important to note that foodborne illnesses such as salmonella or campylobacter can have multiple sources, including food consumed elsewhere or other environmental factors. Where a supplier issue exists, it would typically affect multiple establishments rather than a single business.
Without specific details, supporting evidence, or engagement with the appropriate authorities, it is not possible to identify any fault. Public statements made without substantiation can be damaging and unfair, particularly to a long-standing, family-run business with a proven record of compliance and high standards.
We respectfully encourage the “annoymous “ individual concerned to contact us directly and provide any relevant information so that the matter can be properly investigated. We also ask that posts containing unverified allegations be reconsidered, as we reserve the right to take further action should false claims continue to cause reputational harm.
