Food served: 12 noon - 19:00 The Hinds Head pub and restaurant is owned and run by members of the local community and is set in the award winning village of Norton-in-Hales in North Shropshire. We serve a selection of cask ales from local breweries such as Salopian & Weetwood based in Shropshire and Cheshire alongside some more nationally recognised ones like Tribute from the St Austell Brewery in Cornwall and Hobgoblin from the Wychwood Brewery in Oxfordshire. We also have Rattler Cider from Healeys Cyder Farm in Cornwall on draught. These are available along with an extensive wine list provided by Addison Wines of Telford and Tanners Wines of Shrewsbury. The restaurant currently serves evening meals from Wednesday to Sunday and lunches are available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The food is all locally sourced wherever possible. Our suppliers include Buttercross Farm and Fields Farm of Market Drayton for our British free range meat, Neil France of Wem for the freshest fruit and vegetables right on our doorstep in Norton-in-Hales.

Keeping things local for this one… Salopian Shropshire Gold 💛

Brewed by Salopian Brewery right here in Shropshire, this award-winning golden ale is a proper easy-drinker — crisp, refreshing and beautifully balanced.

🌾 What does it taste like?
Expect a light, golden pint with fresh citrus and floral hop flavours, a gentle malt sweetness and a clean, refreshing finish.

At 3.8% ABV, it’s exactly the sort of ale that makes you say “I’ll just have the one…” before immediately reconsidering. 😉🍺

🏡 A little closer to home…
Salopian Brewery began life in Shrewsbury in the mid-1990s and has become one of Shropshire’s best-known breweries, producing everything from traditional cask ales to seriously hop-forward modern beers.
