I usually stick to blending two sugarpastes together, as that consistently gives me the best results. However, for an upcoming wedding cake I needed a product that was fully nut-free, including being produced in a nut-free environment, so I decided to try Beau Sugarpaste.

I have to say, I’ve been pleasantly surprised with how well it has worked and how beautifully it has gone onto the cake. If you’re looking for a nut-free sugarpaste option, it’s definitely worth checking out Beau products.

These 2 tier wedding cakes are ideal for the more intimate weddings. Lucy & Liam wanted the bottom tier to be in a soft pink ombré to match their colour scheme. Decorated with silk flowers.

EDIBLE CAKE LACE
The most satisfying part of making cake lace, removing it from the mat. I always air dry mine as it gives more flexibility I find ☺️

Last weekend I made the wedding cake for Keri & John who married at the lovely Nunsmere Hall. They opted for a 2 tier cake plus a standalone cake especially for Keri’s mum who longed for a fruit cake.

Keri came over to see me to choose a lace mat that was identical to the lace on her dress — and the one she chose is one of my absolute favourites! I particularly love helping couples tie in special elements of their wedding day, so the cake feels like a seamless part of the overall look. Silk flowers as always from

A recent wedding cake for Alice & Jack, who celebrated their special day at the beautiful Alderley Edge Hotel.

A perfect spring wedding called for something equally special. When Alice first got in touch, she shared details of her dress and loved the idea of incorporating its design into the cake, I instantly knew just who could help bring that vision to life. The result was a stunning bespoke pin detail that tied everything together so perfectly.

To make it even more personal, Alice & Jack chose the sweetest tortoise toppers, adding such a unique and meaningful touch 🐢

It was such a joy to create this cake, every detail tells part of their story.

Final week in New Zealand

Soaking up the last of this incredible journey, exploring Christchurch, Arthur’s Pass, Milford Sound, Dunedin, Queenstown, Twizel & seeing Mount Cook. Every place had something special, but what made it unforgettable was the warmth and kindness of the people.

Last week we left the North Island and took the ferry to the South Island which feels wilder and more dramatic, with towering mountains, alpine lakes, glaciers and vast open spaces.

Yesterday we saw some amazing thermally heated mud pools that were used by the Māori to treat a number of ailments, we then visited the Agrodome .
