Friday is for switching off and spending time with the people you love. Drop in for a cold one, try something from our new menu or celebrate a special occasion - we’ll make sure you have a lovely time.

Also there’s something special about this time of year. As the sun sets, our candles come on and the evening begins. Book your table and make it a night to remember.

Today's the day folks, new menu is out! On top of that, our quiz with Phil Hollis is almost booked up. Thank you to everybody who has been showing support, it doesn't go unnoticed! Kitchen will be open from 15:30 to 21:00 and the new head chef will be greeting guests throughout the day. The new A La Carte is on our story for you to view.

Below we have Mixed Seafood Paella, with chicken, chorizo, Spanish saffron infused rice, green peas and mixed peppers. A true Spanish favourite!

Todays soup of the day will be cauliflower and blue cheese; don't worry if you don't like blue cheese, it isn't as strong as you might think! The soup will always be different week by week, just ask our team.

Pan-fried Chicken Supreme, served with a mixed mushroom velouté and new potatoes. An incredible sauce with a beautiful cut of chicken.

Last but not least, The County's chicken curry; creamy and mild. Served with basmati rice.

As tomorrow’s menu launch approaches, here’s another glimpse of what’s to come; with slightly more detail..

We have a Beef Ragù Bolognese topped with parmesan cheese. A rich, comforting Italian favourite!

Duck Breast served pink, with a mixed forest berry puree & sautéed seasonal vegetables. A delicious balance of savoury and fruity flavours!

Brussels Pate with brioche toast, onion chutney, wild rocket & cherry tomatoes. A blend of beautiful flavours.

Sicilian Beef Arancini, with a rich tomato sauce & parmesan cheese. Meaty and cheesy centre!

Cumberland Sausage & mash, served with a special onion gravy. A pub classic done The County way!

Classic Prawn Cocktail served with crispy baby gem, Marie Rose sauce & a lemon wedge. Possibly the star of the show; you'll have to let us know!

Here’s a little sneak peek at our brand-new menu! Our team has been busy training and tasting, and we’re excited to bring fresh, vibrant flavours from around the world to the heart of Abington.

We launch this Thursday, and we’d love to welcome you, your family and friends to come and try it. For all reservations between this Thursday and Saturday, we will be offering a complementary dessert to share.

Exciting news! We have a new head chef starting at The County.. He's currently prepping for our Sunday roasts tomorrow and we have a few changes!

Roasted lamb rump and roast chicken will be coming to our Sunday Menu starting from tomorrow. Don't worry, our signature meat stuffings are staying! Drop a like if this sounds up your street!

Come meet the new chef tomorrow and he might give you a sneak peak of our new and exciting a la carte; filled with fresh produce, an amazing range of proteins and something for the vegetarians too! We'll also be putting the fireplace on tomorrow for the first time this year so be assured you'll be toasty.

This Friday Mark Hutchinson will be back at The County from 18:30 performing inside! No need for a ticket, just show up with your loved ones and have a great time with us. We will also be showing the Ipswich Town vs Nottingham Forrest game so it should be busy..

Last Sunday we pretty much sold out of all roast dinners at around 17:00. Firstly thank you all for visiting and experiencing our wonderful Sunday roasts, and secondly if you missed out last time: we made more for today! However we would still recommend booking in early or making a pre-order on later bookings to secure your plate!

Pina Colada on a Sunday? We'll never judge you at The County. We have our lovely Sunday Roasts running until 18:00 but we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment. Also tomorrow we'll be announcing some entertainment for the end of the month so keep a look out!
