🐾 Weekend Volunteers Wanted! ☕🍰

Do you have a few hours to spare at the weekend? We’d love to hear from you!

As a charity, the Armed Forces Community Hub & Café relies on our amazing volunteers to help create a warm, welcoming space for our community. Whether you’re greeting customers, serving drinks, helping in the kitchen, clearing tables, or simply having a friendly chat, every volunteer makes a real difference.

We’re particularly looking for volunteers who can help on Saturdays and Sundays, even if it’s only for a few hours each month.

Volunteering is a great way to:
⭐ Meet new people
⭐ Gain experience and confidence
⭐ Support your local community
⭐ Be part of a friendly and supportive team

🐾🌟 Dog of the Month – Meet Rosie! 🌟🐾

This month we’re delighted to crown lovely Rosie as our Dog of the Month! 🐶❤️

Rosie is an almost 11-year-old pure Labrador Retriever who has become a firm favourite with everyone she meets. Affectionately described as our sweet, in-house “seal” thanks to her adorable looks, she’s always ready to brighten our day with her super waggy tail and those irresistible puppy-dog eyes.

Her favourite things in life include 🧀 cheese, 🌊 swimming at the beach, 🥰 belly rubs, 🐦 chasing pheasants, and rather surprisingly… 🏥 visiting the vets!

There isn’t much Rosie dislikes, although having her claws clipped is definitely not high on her list of favourite activities! ✂️🙈

A true foodie at heart, Rosie knows exactly where we keep the dog treat jar in the café and has perfected the art of persuading us to hand over a snack or two. One look from those gorgeous eyes and we don’t stand a chance! 🍖🐾

Congratulations, Rosie – a very deserving Dog of the Month! 🎉❤️
