After a heart scan and a CT Scan this morning, the powers that be decided I could come home 🏡

Had an incident with the cannula being removed, I bled everywhere and for ages, as no-one had told me that Id been taking blood thinners 🙈🩸

For anyone who hasnt been admitted to Torbay recently, they now have what they call the Discharge Lounge. A room full of chairs and wheelie tables where you are discharged, get your meds to go home with, food and drink whilst you wait and then get to leave on good behaviour 😉

I would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all the staff who have cared for me on A&E Green Zone, AMU3, McCullum and The Discharge Lounge.

We are so lucky to have an NHS service who provides for us free of charge, staff work long hours and often get abused, especially verbally.

Anyway I've come away with new and changed meds to help bring my heartbeat up etc.

🎊WE ARE OPEN TOMORROW 🎊 SATURDAY 8TH /SUNDAY 9TH AUGUST

Just been told that I am actually being admitted as they are still unable to bring my resting pulse up from the early 30s now not what I was hoping for, but better to get it sorted.

Let's hope it is just 1 night and Im allowed home tomorrow. Not the most interesting bay I've been brought to, but it is busy here.

CLOSURE FRIDAY 7TH AUGUST DUE TO BELOW ⬇️⬇️

Tonight I find myself in Torbay Hospital for the night, because Im having heart issues. This is the reason I've been closed for 2 days down at the Quay. 🏥

My pulse is just 39, which is very low so that needs rectifying, plus having being diagnosed last month with my heart being in Atrial Fibrillation, I need checking to try and stop the breathlessness continuing. 💔

I'm truly sorry to not be opening as expected, but this is out of my control.

Phew what a day! Open for 12 hours today, with this evening being devoted to The Barham Cup Rowing Race from Teignmouth to Newton Abbot Town Quay 🚣‍♀️🚣‍♂️

I would like to thanks Teignmouth Regatta Committee for organising another fantastic event. 🙏

Newton Abbot Town Council lads Steve and Tony for cleaning the Quay this week and making it look so much better.

Thank you to each and every customer we have served today. We trust you enjoyed your food.

Finally ... My heartfelt thanks goes out to Tracey, Beth, Debbie and Emilie for their hard work tonight and their time.

With weather like this, alfresco dining is great!

Down at Newton Abbot Town Quay, we have tables that are shaded and we also have parasols for those that aren't.

Sit by the river and watch the wildlife, swans, cygnets, ducklings etc whilst enjoying a freshly cooked meal or snack. A cold drink or even an ice cream.
