Well you could knock us over with a feather! Last night the team took home the award for Best place to eat (unlicensed) at the Greater Newry business awards 2026! 🏆

We couldn’t be more grateful to everyone who has supported us, walked through our doors, shared our food, recommended us, and cheered us on along the way. This award really means so much.

To achieve such recognition in just over 5 months of trading is an absolute testament particularly to Sam, and his team, but also everyone behind the scenes that make Sugar House the success that it has been and no doubt will continue.

A huge congrats to all that were shortlisted, the highly commended & overall winners of the awards on the night. What a privilege to be part of such a vibrant business community. ❤️

A touching gift from our new friend & upstairs partner sophiebrink_studio at lorshadesign. A beautiful handcrafted ceramic piece that’s hand painted with our beloved shared building, even incorporating little pieces of the buildings brickwork in the glaze - A tiny part of the place within itself.

Please do check it out when you’re next in, it now hangs for everyone to see in the main walkway.

We’re blown away & deeply grateful - Thank you Sophie 🫶.

Chuffed. Absolutely chuffed 🥰

We’re so proud of the team to have been shortlisted for Best Place to Eat (Unlicensed) at the GNBA 2026! 🎉

Five months ago, we opened the doors at Sugar House, and honestly…what a five months it’s been! From the hundreds of lovely faces who walk through our doors every day to moments like this, it makes every bit of it worthwhile.

Feeling very lucky to be part of such a brilliant community. ❤️🏠

Thank you, Newry! 🫶

Handmade & fresh every morning. They’re always good, but they’re even better when they’re still a little warm. What’s your favourite scone? 🧑‍🍳

Our house is your house.. ✨🏠

House Shakshuka 🍳. A delicious blend of tomatoes, warming spices, poached eggs with some house twists like a little chorizo. Served with a toasted slice of sourdough to dunk in and soak up all that loveliness. The perfect breakfast or punch… try it when you’re in, you won’t be disappointed. 🥰
