We are absolutely delighted that as a result of our unannounced food hygiene inspection yesterday, we have retained our rating of 5
for both the Village Store and the Tea Room.

I didn’t expect that we would be making Bread Pudding in the middle of June, it feels more like a winter offering, but it’s so popular with lots of people asking for it so Phil made one last night and it’s on the counter today.

Have you tried our Tregothnan Cornish grown tea yet? The traditional Breakfast tea is a blend of Tregothnan and Assam leaves. We also offer decaff and Earl Grey.

A massive Thank You to everyone who has visited the Tea Room over this last half term week. Vast amounts of cakes, scones and sandwiches have been eaten! Our team have been fab, working in extreme heat conditions for most of the week. 🥵
We’re taking a breather and will be closed just for today. Monday and Tuesday will be spent baking to restock ready to reopen as usual on Wednesday morning.

We’re open 10 till 4 today for Bank Holiday. Scones baked nice & early this morning so that we can get the ovens turned off for the day before the heat really kicks in. Sunshades and awning up and ready to create lots of lovely shade. Why not visit us today to enjoy our lovely treats and escape the busyness of the coast.
