Join us for our first w**e tasting dinner along with Riebeek w**es. We’ll be tasting five w**es from their RAAR range, serving four wonderful courses with produce from our local suppliers.

Raar, meaning rare or scarce in Afrikaans, showcases lesser known varietals such as Palamino, Grenache Blanc and Petite Sirah, all grown in the Swartland. Low intervention w**emaking using wild yeasts and old french oak barrels allows true expression of these low yielding, bush vines.

The tasting begins at 6pm on Friday 9th October. Please book to guarantee your place! We look forward to seeing you. ♥️

As the seasons progress and the days begin to shorten, the growers we work with have been transitioning their crops. We have now had the last of the tomatoes, but the good news is we’ve been buying them in abundance throughout the season and preserving them so we can enjoy them in to the winter. Open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week.

Making the most of September produce with a dish that nods to Elizabeth David’s Piedmontese peppers, an incredibly simple dish that puts produce at the fore.

These are GROWN by Newquay Orchard peppers and tomatoes which have been roasted and marinated, served on braised coco beans and topped with anchovies and basil. The dish is served cool which brings a fresh, vibrant and light eating experience that we love.

A selection of Paul’s, Paul Ledder, recent catches - po***ck, bass and mackerel. All caught on a single rod and line on his 4m boat out of Newquay harbour. It’s a real pleasure to be able to work with Paul, not only for the impeccable quality of his catch but also for his outstanding knowledge of fish and the ocean.

We saw a bumper delivery of broad beans from , which found their way on to our menu with ricotta that we make at the pub from the village cows at Sweets Dairy. The broadies are sadly all gone, but now we are on to some of those most delicious runner beans we’ve tasted to accompany the ricotta.
