Appeal for Information & Community Support 🚨
Unfortunately, at 1:19 AM, (Tuesday)someone attempted to break into our shop, Mirchi Indian Takeaway & R A Smash Burger and Pizza (139 Caerleon Road, NP19 7FW).
We have captured CCTV footage of the incident, but if anyone was driving or walking past around that time and noticed anything suspicious, please get in touch with us on 01633 253495 or contact the police.
In our 8 years of running this family business, nothing like this has ever happened to us before. Like many local independents, we work extremely hard every day just to keep our doors open. We strongly urge neighboring businesses to review their security and make sure CCTV is installed.
We also hope our local councillors and MP take notice, as several local businesses have unfortunately been targeted recently.
A huge thank you to Gwent Police 👮‍♂️, who arrived within 3–4 minutes, and to Pontypool Glazing for coming out so quickly to secure our windows with a temporary fix.
Thank you to all our customers and community for your continued support! ❤️
