Our first artisan indoor market is on Sunday 11th October.

The tearoom will be offering take away drinks and cake so no lunch options. This will be a relaxed shopping experience for you to get some gift ideas for Christmas or just treat yourself!

Tearoom Assistant
The Quirky Teapot, Staplehurst Grange
Part-time | Approximately 9 hours per week to cover lunch rush/holidays/sickness

The Quirky Teapot is a welcoming vintage inspired tearoom known for homemade baking, friendly service and creating a memorable experience for every customer who walks through the door.

We are looking for a warm, confident and adaptable person to join our small team and help deliver the high standard of customer care that our customers know and love.

This is primarily a front of house role, although the successful candidate will be happy to support across different areas of the business, including occasional kitchen assistance and private events.
As our business continues to evolve, there may also be opportunities to become involved with other opportunities.

The Role
You will be responsible for helping create a calm, friendly and efficient experience for our customers by:
• Greeting and seating customers
• Managing reservations and enquiries
• Taking orders and processing payments
• Serving food and drinks with confidence and care
• Keeping service areas clean, organised and welcoming
• Clearing tables
• Assisting with kitchen preparation and washing up when required
• Supporting occasional private hire events and workshops

We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Over 18
• Naturally enjoys working with people
• Takes pride in delivering excellent customer service
• Remains calm and positive during busy periods
• Has confidence working independently
• Is organised, reliable and responsible
• Enjoys being part of a small supportive team
• Is willing to help wherever needed
• Has previous hospitality, customer service or retail experience
-Driver preferred due to location

Hours
The role is expected to include regular weekday and Saturday shifts, typically between 10am and 4.30pm, with additional hours occasionally available for private events and special functions (sometimes on a Sunday).
Flexibility is appreciated, and we are keen to find the right person rather than simply fill a rota.

Change is one of the certain things about life, it's essential for growth...

Changing our cake display might not be life changing, but I'm excited for what will soon be on display on the counter, which will be a positive change for me. (Hopefully what's coming will be things others will enjoy too! 😉)

It will mean aligning with a part of myself I've not been able to connect with as regularly as I'd like, or need to at times, but things happen when the time is right... So watch this space 💓

Not my usual post, but I wanted to share... Sonny Evans Painter and Decorator always offers top end work and service. Especially for the work he creates for his business EV Bespoke walls and surfaces, it really is exceptional. I'd highly recommend him if you're looking for that extra special finish that your home deserves. He's based on the island (and the only person offering the micro cermenting) , but will travel to the mainland.

Showcase your creations at our exclusive winter markets!

We're curating a festive experience for discerning shoppers and are seeking high-quality artisans and makers to join our lineup.
​Events run from 11am until 4pm on Sunday 11th October, Sunday 22nd November, and Sunday 6th December.
​Stalls are £30 per day, including a table and tablecloth in a charming, supportive setting. WiFi available and free parking. Limited spaces available.

The tearoom will have takeaway treats and drinks available on these dates.

Andri from A taste of the Isle announced the total from the Charity Day Event created because of her own journey with cancer and in aid of Wessex Cancer Support IOW. She curated a day together with friends (special thanks to Catherine Xenia Lavender and Ree Ree Shelley) , Andri's family and loved ones, my hard working team (including my other half), so many generous donations, our lovely stall holders, the musicians, therapists, magician, speaker, poet, volunteers, all those that entered the raffle, played the games, visitors, donations made, and the brilliant team at Wessex (I apologise if I've missed anything/anyone) you helped us raise a grad total off.... drum roll please.... £2,405.17!!

I'm so chuffed for Andri that she smashed her target, we're all so proud of what was achieved and feel so blessed to have the love and support to create what we did... Here's to and to all that made this possible... Thank you!!

Just 4 sleeps until our Charity Day event in collaboration with A taste of the Isle in aid of Wessex Cancer Support on Sunday 9th August here at Staplehurst Grange with brilliant Music, Beautiful Stalls, Holistic Therapists, Excellent Raffle, Tombola, W**e & Water Game, Sound Bath and Silent Groove.

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated prizes, the singers, the team at Wessex and every one who has helped in any way, it really means so much to us xx
