Every Italian cupboard has its non-negotiables.

Pasta? Obviously.
Olive oil? Always.
Cannellini beans? You’d better have a jar somewhere.

And when you don’t know what to cook: sauté some garlic in olive oil, add the cannellini beans, a little rosemary, salt and pepper. Toss through pasta with a splash of pasta water and dinner is sorted.
