FRONT OF HOUSE HIRING!

We’re looking for a part-time FOH assistant / barista to join the team.

This is a part-time position of around 8-12 hours per week, usually 2 shifts per week, with additional hours often available during holidays and busy periods.

This is a fast-paced role and you’ll need to multitask, stay organised and manage your time well. You must be flexible, hard-working and willing to get stuck into a range of tasks. No two shifts are exactly the same, and you’ll be expected to help wherever needed, whether that’s serving customers, making coffees, keeping the shop looking great, or jumping on dishes when required.

We pride ourselves on providing great service. As the first point of contact, you’ll be friendly, attentive and professional. You’ll be part of a tight-knit team that relies on strong communication, and we’re looking for someone who enjoys working alongside others and takes pride in doing things properly.

Previous hospitality and barista experience is essential for this role.

DAYTIME CHEF POSITIONS 👩‍🍳

Full-time & part-time opportunities

We’re looking for experienced chefs to join our teams in Heaton across our two independent kitchens - Smoke & Sear and Handsome Sandwich.

Smoke & Sear is a busy brunch restaurant cooking over charcoal, while Handsome Sandwich is a takeaway sandwich shop focused on great ingredients, house-made fillings and bread from local bakeries.

Both kitchens focus on doing simple things really well, using quality produce and making as much as we can in-house.

THE ROLES

We have full-time and part-time positions available.

All shifts are daytime hours.

Depending on the role, you may work in one kitchen or across both businesses.

WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO
• has previous kitchen experience
• is confident working in a busy service
• is clean, organised and efficient
• follows strong food hygiene practices
• is a good team player
• genuinely cares about good food
