👷👷♀️ Whilst we’re refurbishing and working super hard to transform The Milehouse into something even more amazing, we thought it would be cool to share some pictures over the years with you.
Here’s a photo of this very building, which went up in 1932 as the Milehouse Hotel on the corner of Liverpool Road and Lower Milehouse Lane. It later became a Berni Inn — prawn cocktail, steak and Black Forest gateau — then had a brief spell again as the Milehouse pub.
In 2006 it opened as Buffet Island, and the site was expanded to the footprint you see today. Then in 2019, exactly seven years ago, we refurbished the building and restored the name The Milehouse.
You can still see many of the original features of the building today.
