We serve vegan, gluten free & sugar free cakes, we have sing alongs, live performances, workshops & chess club. We are a community hub based right opposite New Brighton train station, we provide Speciality coffee & homemade cakes. As well as being a listening ear for people, remembering everyone by name. Our aim is to provide the best in everything we do, we donate all of our tips to various chari

ties & community groups. We use a coffee for a stranger idea, where you can buy an extra coffee with your order and pay it forward for someone less fortunate, or could even be someone just having a bad day and needs cheering up. quick update from us: next time you pop into the shop you might notice that some of our prices have increased slightly - like so many small independents we've really felt the impact of rising costs over the past 6 months, and whilst we've tried to absorb as much of those costs as possible ourselves, that no longer feels sustainable, ultimately we don't want to compromise on the quality of what we serve you! These increases will hopefully allow us to keep serving great coffee and cake to you all for many more years to come. We really do appreciate each and every one of you choosing to support your local independents 💙☕🌊

So we’d like to announce that we are keeping the Shanty!🤙🙌

Maybe some of you don’t know but before Christmas we had decided to sell the shop due to living life in Cornwall, this was a very long, hard and emotional decision to make. But after being up at Christmas it just didn’t feel right to let go, so we are keeping going and we thank everybody so much for your support throughout it all 🙏

Ultimately we want the Shanty to be a place that brings life to the community for many years to come,

We thank our fab team for their hard work day in day out, we wouldn’t be still going strong today without the great team that we have 💛

Don’t forget we have live music the last Friday of every month from 12-1pm and we also have our resident jazz group - ‘Knightshift’ the 3rd Friday of every month! 🙌🎶
