| Everyone’s favourite rose has been sitting in our fridges crisping up for tomorrow night amie ~ We’ll be pouring Amie’s original rosé, as well as a properly lovely non-alcoholic sparkling rosé

| This week, all of our time and attention is on our Stems opening this Friday, and we’ve been working through menus to get them right for you all. If you’ve not seen our posts about it yet, we’re launching a neighbourhood w**e bar pop-up here in Social. A really casual transition from our daytime brunch cafe to evenings of great music, easy drinking w**es, the cocktails you need after a hard week at work, picky bits to work through while nattering the night away.

We’ll be serving a small menu of cocktails, with one or two pre-batched by the wonderful Black Lines / pouring b**rs from Black Lodge Brewery & we’ve got a REALLY good non-alcoholic drink selection serving Botivo, Pentire Drinks & of course LUCKY SAINT.

I’ll post up the menu of food this week, but it’s full of the good stuff. Cacio e Pepe butter beans, spicy gildas, pan con tomate, smoked whipped butter, hummus, home made aioli on a tray of Torres crisps. Lob it all together and you get something pretty magical.

ANYWAY, we hope to see you on Friday/Saturday. We’ll be rolling out info this week on how Stems will look, as we aim to bring something fresh to New Brighton’s evening scene.

| STEMS ~ We have an opening date! On the 2nd October (week on Fri), we’ll be opening every Friday & Saturday evening, serving some beautiful w**es, cocktails, b**r from local legends Black Lodge Brewery ~ as well as the picky bits of allll picky bits. Think olives, Iberico ham crisps, aioli, charcuterie, butter beans, cheese, pickles, the bloody lot.

We’re keeping this pop-up incredibly casual, so no reservations, just come down and we’ll get you seated and plied with w**e.

| A little more thought about where our food comes from.

Our smoked salmon comes from Smoked salmon , sourcing salmon raised on the west coast of Scotland before being cold smoked in the Cotswolds over juniper, beech and oak.

It costs us a little more, but better sourcing and better ingredients are things we’re happy to spend more on.

Properly sourced, properly made, and well worth trying next time you’re in.

| You’ve probably seen these guys rolling around in different places and that’s because it’s a really really really good soft drink. We always wanted to fill our fridge with sodas made with lovely ingredients, minimal additives, as healthy as possible for our guests and Living Things Soda fits that bill. Next time you’re in, grab a can 🥤
