Please note we dont sell seasoned logs ! Many suppliers we have tried have simply been a waste of money. Seasoned logs in fact all logs need to be below 20% moisture content to be able to legally sell them .

When we were selling seasoned we had complaints they were giving off lots of smoke, needed loads of kindling to get them started and gave off very little heat .

For logs to be seasoned correctly they need a minimum of 6 months under cover in well ventilated cages. Not all suppliers sell damp seasoned logs but always ask for a .moisture reading upon delivery!

Our Kiln dried logs are coming in at only 3% moisture content.

Yes Kiln dried are slightly more expensive but there are far more advantages to using kiln dried logs as opposed to so called seasoned logs .


Kiln dried give off more heat, easier to light and better for environment. They are more expensive but you dont need to burn as many to heat up a room , give off far more heat than seasoned, you need very little kindling to get them going , and on a cold winters night you dont want to sat around waiting ages to get them to light.

The heat our Kiln Dried Birch logs give off is second to none .

Always ask for a moisture test on arrival !
