🔥🌶️ SEMTEX UPDATE 🌶️🔥

This year’s Semtex chillies are looking absolutely fantastic!

For those who don’t know, Semtex is my own super-hot chilli cross, and this season marks F5 generation — five generations of selecting for the traits I’m after. It’s always exciting to see a cross becoming more stable and consistent, and these plants are showing real promise.

The pods are developing beautifully, with plenty of heat and character already showing through. Seeing a variety you’ve worked on for years starting to come together is a special feeling.

Can’t wait to see how they mature over the coming weeks. More updates (and heat!) to come. 🔥

Sorry we’ve gone a bit quiet on socials. This year’s grow has taken a lot more work than we expected, so sauce making has had to take a back seat for a little while. But don’t worry — the plants are thriving, the hard work is paying off, and we’re almost ready to get back to making the good stuff 🌶️🔥

Big News….First harvest of the season 🌱🔥

The first Rocotos are in — and that means one very important thing…
The first batch of Bay Verde for the new season is officially on its way.

These not so little green beauties are the start of months of growing, watering, watching the weather, and hoping the Lancashire sun shows up when it’s needed most. Seeing the first proper crop come through never gets old.

Fresh, bright, fruity heat with that unmistakable Rocoto flavour.
Bay Verde season has begun.

🌶️ CHILLI SPOTLIGHT #10 — SEMTEX PEACH

This one’s ours.

Semtex Peach chilli pepper — a cross we’ve developed ourselves, and we’re keeping the details that way.

What we can tell you:

It’s incredibly hot.

This year, we’ve gone all in on the Peach Semtex — it came out noticeably hotter than the red, so the choice was easy.

Fermented to round out the vicious heat, then worked into one of our most popular sauces…

Bar-Bay-Q.

It’s what gives it that deep, layered burn. The kind that builds, settles, and stays with you.

This is Morecambe’s own superhot.

And it doesn’t mess about.

🌶️ CHILLI SPOTLIGHT #9 — SCORPION FAT ORANGE

An original.

Scorpion Fat Orange chilli pepper — the backbone of one of our OG sauces.

A Scorpion through and through. Solid heat, but with a depth that leans savoury — almost umami. Think Bloody Mary vibes.

It’s what gives that sauce its character.

Rich. Rounded. With a proper kick that doesn’t overpower, just builds and holds.

Versatile, reliable, and one we keep coming back to.

🌶️ CHILLI SPOTLIGHT #8 — RB003

This one’s for those who know.

RB003 chilli pepper — a cross between Carolina Reaper and 7 Pot Brain Strain.

Which tells you pretty much everything you need to know.

Extremely hot. Aggressively textured. Some of the gnarliest pods we’ll grow this year.

But it’s not just about pushing heat for the sake of it — there’s real depth in these superhots if you treat them properly.

This is one we’re especially interested in.

No set plan yet… but it’s got all the makings of something serious.

🌶️ CHILLI SPOTLIGHT #7 — TRINIDAD MORUGA SCORPION

No introduction needed.

Trinidad Moruga Scorpion — one of the hottest chillies in the world, and it doesn’t try to hide it.

The heat is immediate. Intense. It builds fast and holds on.

But underneath that, there’s a surprising depth — a rich, almost floral fruitiness that cuts through if you give it a second.

This isn’t an everyday chilli.

It’s one you use carefully. Sparingly. With intent.

We haven’t decided exactly where it’s going yet…

But it’s earned its place.

🌶️ CHILLI SPOTLIGHT #6 — JAMAICAN HOT

Alright… this is as close as we’re getting.

Jamaican Hot chilli pepper — the closest thing to a Scotch Bonnet we’ll ever grow.

Bright, fruity, and packing that classic Caribbean-style heat. It’s got that upfront punch with a rounded sweetness that makes it seriously addictive.

And there’s only one place these are going…

Straight into our Sea-Racha.

It’s what gives it that signature kick — bold, vibrant, and full of flavour.
